Absolutely love how every setlist has been completely different

Have they ever given a reason that they tend to play such short sets though? They're ten albums in, you think they'd be playing a lot longer than 70 minutes

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I don't think Davey's vocals can handle long sets.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

anyone have any merch pics or prices at all?

Some bands just don't have the energy. The guys in AFI move around a ton and are in their 40s (right?) so I think if they extended their set another 5 or so songs, they might run out of energy lol.

Man I really need to see these guys live - Sing the Sorrow was an integral album in transitioning from my early teenage bias of only listening to pre-2000s classic rock/metal and 90's alt to not only modern stuff, but music that had screaming. Don't have the cash to front for this right now though.

The constantly-changing setlists on this tour are bananas. Last night they randomly opened with Miss Murder, played The Face Beneath the Waves for the first time ever and played Strength Through Wounding --> The Lost Souls as an off-the-cuff second encore.

Never thought about it before, but Miss Murder actually makes a cool opener (since they have to play it anyway)

Can confirm tonight was a ripper. Second encore of "Totalimmortal" was especially intense.

Agreed. Such an outstanding show. "End Transmission" was a pleasant surprise and I had never heard "This Celluloid Dream" in person. It's amazing that Davey still kills it after all these years.

I didn't realize that they hadn't played End Transmission since 2010. Very happy I got to see it, definitely the best song on Crash Love

How were the openers? I know little to nothing on them. I watched a few music videos for Nothing and did not enjoy.

  22. Nothing wasn't on my date, so I only saw Chaingang. They're alright, not unpleasant but not really exciting either. Last time AFI was here they had Touche Amore with them, so at the very least it was a downgrade from them, ha.

Nothing was horrendous opening for Thursday at their NJ show. Maybe 2 people were into them and the rest of the crowd were bored out of their minds.

Shot in the dark here, but is anyone trying to get rid of a ticket for the Philly show?
