Has anyone played Pandemic Legacy? Won the first month last night, but I'm reading conflicting information about when to open various things and think we might have missed something.

So played our first game of Ticket To Ride last night, couple things:
-its definitely a bit complicated to understand at first but gets better after getting into it.
-it definitely seems like it'll be better with more than 2 players
-I'm not sure how often my wife will want to play with me, turns out we have vastly different strategies when it comes to games like this.

How different are your strategies? That's usually a thing I enjoy most, how differently people play but as long as the scores are close it's usually fun.

I'm very strategic and methodical thinking about the long game, while my wife doesn't think that way and just kinda plays cards, trains, etc to appease her Tickets

Yeah that's what we said, another person to really fuck up things and not make it seem so personal haha

Most games do if they aren't explicitly designed for two.

found dragoon online from a canadian dealer. they were selling it so cheap that i got the game cheaper than what the company who makes it sells it for even with the outrageous shipping to the US.

Went ahead and bought like 60 bucks worth of Fantasy Flight Sleeves, Twilight Struggle and the Scoundrels of Skullport expansion for Lords of Waterdeep from CSI

Got 7 Wonders Duel and assorted dice (for deciding who goes first more than RPG play hah) from Amazon.

Might need to buy some baggies or something for when the sleeved cards inevitably don't fit with the inserts included in my games.

CSI has some great pricing if you are willing to spend the 100 bucks for free shipping.

Yeah I think that seems to be the best route at this point.

It's just one of those things that can get old after playing it alot, need some games to break it up a bit

Anyone play Hero Realms yet? It's basically Star Realms with a fantasy twist

Yeah your best bet is to get a game of each sort of style with varying mechanics. Deduction games, worker placement, war, deck builders, etc.

Asmoplay kit for 7 Wonders Duel came into the shop. Lots of tasty promo items - Statue of Liberty Wonder card, metal coins and military tracker. I was drooooooooling.

I did a Print and Play for Space Cowboys' new escape room card game, Unlock! Highly recommended. The official fullsized sets don't launch until March but hot damn what they released for free is a tasty morsel

Has anyone played Food Chain Magnate.. really tempted to pick it up since it goes out of print often.

100 bucks is a lot for a game when up to this point I've only bought stuff under 50

played inis for the first time this weekend and loved it. had a lot of the elements that i love about risk, but something a bit more added. it felt more strategic to me, plus the artwork is incredible.

Yeah Inis is pretty cool, unique themes are a plus as well.

Debating between Inis, Star Wars: Rebellion, Food Chain Magnate, Great Western Trail and Terraforming Mars (kind of want a reprint with better art for this one) as my next purchase

Great Western Trail is jumping in price already, need to wait for a reprint before I go for it. Same with Terraforming Mars.
