There some rocking hair metal songs

 

Slippery When Wet and Appetite for Destruction are awesome. "Round and Round" by Ratt is awesome. "Talk Dirty to Me" is a blast. Motley Crue had some cool riffs. About all I have on hair metal.

 

Even though I don't like most hair metal, I am pretty aware of it. My brother and I used to watch late night Metal Mania (RIP) and you got a good dose of hair metal with the good classics. Winger, Cinderella, Warrant, Slaughter, Enuff Z'Nuff, Faster Pussycat, Vixen, Wasp Night Ranger, etc haha.

 

Back in the good ol days when Pantera was a glam metal band.

 

I've heard from multiple places that Cinderella's Night Songs is supposed to be really good. I should remember to check it out this week.

 

Are Def Leppard hair metal? They had so many jams

 

I think it's Cinderella or Vixen that has a really good guitarist that was just trapped in a bad band.

 

I feel like they count, right?

 

I would definitely say they count. Photograph is one of those songs I hate myself for toe tapping to and then singing the backing vocals in the chorus.

That's a pretty common thing, actually. I guess being on Rock Band or Guitar Hero didn't take lol. Interesting fact about that song is that it was not originally going to be on their record, but the label wanted a catchy pop single for radio and they basically farted that song out super quick. The singer never liked it and got depressed after they became successful on that song.

 

Bad is better than Thriller

Off the Wall might be though..

 

The presence of Human Nature renders Thriller better.

 

The Zoo by Scorpions is the best hair metal song I've ever heard

 

Man, Dreams is awesome. Sammy definitely has some great songs with VH.

They have to. They also have such an amazing discography. Pyromania, Hysteria and Adrenalize are all great albums front to back. I bet most people in here would recognize more songs than they think they know by Def Leppard.

 

That's hard for me, because I also think Rock You Like a Hurricane and No One Like You all tie for best Scorpions song. Just that opening guitar part on No One Like You gets me instantly. Winds of Change is such a sweet ballad too.

 

Bad is too bloated to beat Thriller and Off the Wall isn't ambitious enough. All three are outstanding records though.

 

The Girl Is Mine is not a very good song. Really sticks out to me with how amazing everything else on Thriller is

 

I like The Girl is Mine more than Billie Jean which I've actually never been a big fan of.

I guess that opinion fits in this thread.

 

Is it better than The Boy is Mine by Brandy and Monica?

Rock My World is the goat/most underrated MJ song

 

Here's an unpopular opinion: I don't really have an issue with MJ's music, but I don't ever go out of my way to listen to it.
