San Antonio was the nerdiest place in the world this weekend with the rumble and Pax south. Crazy to see

Because there was nothing exciting at all...

  3. They can make Wyatt the underdog, anti hero in that triple threat. I faith in the SD crew, but Vince has the final word so yeah. Not having much faith.

Honestly, that Rumble was really well boooked until Roman. Put literally anyone in his place (Joe, Finn, any of the vets) and that whole Rumble works so well.

But Roman at #30 is so comically tone-deaf that casual fans, for the next decade, will never understand why Roman is boo'd. And for the next decade, Roman will never not be boo'd. This booking guarantees that. Just the idea that he could lose and be vulnerable was too much, apparently....

There is now no turn, no scenario where Roman can get over. Even when he is whittled down by WWEs biggest monster, he must find some way to stand tall.

The notion taht Roman enters at #30 rather than seeking vengeance on Braun is so comically stupid as to be inexplicable.

Honestly, I think I popped more for Tye than anything I've ever popped for at a WWE event. Even more so than HBK and Austin at Mania last year. And I was going crazy for that

And Tye's elimination was more of a non-focus than Kofi's was last year, where he was literally eliminated off-camera.

I'm okay with that because I feel like it's a one off and he lasted way longer than he had any right to. I thought they'd just let him have his entry and literally be out by the time the next person came in

  8. Another thing to think about, Cena finally beat AJ. And it took an epic match/finish to do so. Why would they just strip the title from him 2 weeks later?

If the goal of this rumble was to make me feel bad for Roman, well, they nailed it. I've never felt worse for him. He didnt deserve the response of #30 after his match with KO

You're asking why the company who thought it was a good idea to put Roman Reigns in the 30 spot of the rumble would do something dumb?

Reigns at #30 is the hardest they've ever worked to bury someone, far as I can tell. And having him lose is the funniest possible outcome I can imagine.

WWE was so unsure of the obvious Braun match that they made an hour earlier that the built a seperate Corbin/Braun feud, and then debuted a premise they knew the fans would reject...

  12. I can't imagine what Reigns was thinking as the crowd was counting down to his entrance

  13. uhhh....apparently when the camera cut away from the entrants they hopped on a golf cart lol

It makes sense, think how long undertakers entrance would have taken if he just didn't appear in the ring and started at the ramp?

Stone colds response was equally great. If ever there was a feud I'd get behind, its Stone Cold thinking KO didnt work the Stuner enough

Like, we're all hung up on Roman at 30. I get it though - build heat on him to get Orton's win over.

I'm salty about Enzo at 28. THAT should have been Joe.

  19. Enzo at 28 gave me hope that they wouldn't botch 30

    I should know better

Enzo so late is inexcusable. In what world does he throw his best friend to the wolves, and then show himself nearly an hour later.

especially when he's talked a big game about his friend's entry

The funniest part is that, #30 as Roman is so tone deaf that I can believably see Cena losing his record setting belt at Elimination Chamber. Where that Figure 4 tease is thrown away instantly to sell some other story.

Absolutely. I was in a room full of die-hard fans, and we were salivating at the thought that there were four more spots left with two unconfirmed, and Taker and Goldberg still left. Our hearts were filled with the fantasies of the final four participants being a combination of Goldberg, Taker, Finn, and Joe. And we got fucking Enzo at 28. Completely sucked the air out of the room. Now 30 could only be either Finn or Joe, right? But I was so pessimistic by that point that I wasn't even surprised that it was Roman.

And it's like, WWE has created this culture where we expect something big, we expect surprises, we expect to walk away satisfied. Like, there are times where I feel like they get it (Tye at 10), but other times that they just don't give a shit about the bad taste they leave in our mouths.

Ahh thats what that was... had terrible vision on the ramp from where I was.

But it did look like Big Show and Braun were gliding when they came in.

At that point, should've just made Roman 29 and given us Taker at 30.
