I feel bad for Tom, haha, I think overwhelming most people prefer Greg's songs (I fall in that camp). I don't think there is a major disparity between the two. Greg's songs just tend to be my favorites on a Menzingers record.

 

Nope, just like the last two albums (outside of Burn) none of the songs feature the other singer at all. Imo though, Tom's songs are the best songs on this album. The Bars is my favorite of the bunch.

If anyone wants to ask any questions I've had this album since December. I'd be glad to share thoughts before the stream comes out tomorrow!

 

My only question: you know for sure that the stream is tomorrow?

 

That's what I've heard, yes. Some of the bigger sites and magazines should start posting reviews all week too. If for whatever reason it doesn't stream it'll be worth the extra few days of waiting.

 

Have a feeling that by this time next week this will be one of my favorite bands of all time

 

My favorite songs on OTIP and RW are all Greg songs so I'd have to say I'm in that camp. Tom still has some great ones but Greg is where the storytelling/nostalgia side of the band comes from.

I listened to the clips once to scratch the itch the closed the link never to go back. Need this stream tomorrow because it's sounds soooosoooo good!

 

I think I prefer Greg's songs but one thing I love about this band is how Tom and Greg can write such different songs and still make cohesive projects. Rented World has stuff like "The Talk" and "Transient Love" on the same record but still works because the band is so in tune with itself. The chemistry between Greg and Tom is really something special.

 

People still go off for Toms songs live so I'm sure he's fine lol

 

Bad Things is one of my favorites on rented world

 

I still think Hearts Unknown is the most underrated Tom song

 

Hearts Unknown is amazing. Bad Things is one of their worst songs.

Greg is the better writer but Tom is the better performer.

Sure hope so, but surprised they would drop a new song on the same day they stream the album in its entirety. But it's gonna be a rough Monday if I wake up hoping for a stream and get disappointed haha.
