Very easily their second best but Chroma is still better

 

Collider, cycles, and chroma are all better

 

Cycles has a couple of passable tracks but Collider is hot garbage. Those records are forced and stale

This isn't unpopular probably so much as a common thing I want to rant about? idk. But I hate when I criticize one artist for something, and then someone is like "Wow hypocrite but you love this other artist who does it too!!!!!" like I guess I'm a hypocrite if you're assuming I don't also regularly and actively criticize the artists I like. Sorry I didn't find it relevant to randomly bring up another artist when the convo was entirely about someone else. Do I need to put up a disclaimer that says "***I know this artist I like does it too and I don't like it when they do it either!!!!!"? Just ask how I feel instead of assuming lol. And also sometimes an artist does something musically that I feel they can pull off, while I don't think it suits another artist who may do a similar thing. idk why that's hypocritical.

Haha what on earth, Collider and Cycles are easily their best two albums (in that order)

Self titled is mostly not good and Chroma is okay but way overrated

 

AP.net when the self titled record came out was quite a time. The album threads for that album and Mae's Singularity were a total shitshow

2007 was certainly a year for scene bands signing to major labels and putting out disappointments

Since it was mentioned, I think Singularity is pretty underrated. Definitely not Mae's finest, but dang, I thought it was proof that even Howard Benson can't suppress Mae's talent.

Eh it's not really about a specific user or incident or even just here. Pop culture sites do the same thing. You have an avatar of an artist and then call out another artist for something and then they bring it up and come for you lol

Surprisingly nobody has actually ever brought that up to me haha.

 

My buddy just left town to do a record with him and I realized it wasn't a name I'd heard in a long time. Looked up his discog and I honestly never realized how big he was in the hard rock world. Always only knew him for The Starting Line, Saosin, and AAR.

 

He did my favourite album so I have a lot of love for him. I haven't heard anything he's done in a while either.

 

Ohh, right. That makes sense haha. Well, he definitely did kill it on that record!

 

A guy I grew up playing music with is out with Mae on their tour, playing keys for them. He sings for Windsor Drive. Pretty cool.

 

Imbue is a great record, but the other The Early November records all suck.

People are so concerned with their image- even on a message board! Sad! Lol - like I do get it - but a artists fanbase is absolutely irrelevant when were talking about music.

 

What does that have to do with image?

 

I think it's usually people see fans of a artist and distance themselves from the artist without even giving the music a chance. I don't blame people for not wanting to be associated with some fanbases tho - it's just a weird way to be elitist is all
