cooking tonight again, finally... I want to raise the bar, but I'm not sure what to make. Maybe @Justice Beaver has an idea. Was thinking French or Italian.

 

French and Italian are kinda out of my wheelhouse. If you want Asian or Southwest/Mexican/Latin I got you, boo.

 

@Ken, give me some ingredients and I'll make you a meal.

 

turkey, peanut butter, peeps, raspberries, butternut squash, and okra

I guess, or maybe marsala sauce

 

Chicken Marsala was actually requested, but it's a little too close to something I make regularly. I've never had a marsala sauced crepe before though... sounds... interesting.

 

Tonight is steak night. Aw yeah.

 

I am desperately trying to come up with a recipe using those ingredients you gave me and am failing.

 

I made them as hard as I could haha

 

I need to start planning meals and eating well and learn to cook more

Okay we are gonna make turkey satay. Small chunks of turkey marinated in a bit of soy, sesame oil, Thai chiles, and scallions. Put that shit on skewers and grill. The peanut butter is getting mixed with soy, red chile paste, and lime juice, and some rough chopped peanuts. The raspberries go in a pot with some water and sugar. Reduce that shit down. Butternut squash is getting boiled, mashed, a little bit of butter, some brown sugar, vanilla extract, cardimum, clove, cinnamon. Put in a baking dish, peeps on top into the oven. Okra gets cleaned and roasted, tossed in a pan with some mushrooms, topped with crispy shallots.

Turkey, Raspberry Sauce, Okra casserole, Butternut Squash Casserole.

I had Mexican food on Monday and some jojos yesterday. I'm half tempted to get a smoothie (the unhealthy kind) today but I feel like I already went over my allotment of consuming non grocery store things this week. Meh.

 

@Ken, I have chicken thighs, beer cheese, spring mix, potatoes, hatch chiles, and white chocolate truffles.
