RTJ2 is great but RTJ and RTJ3 (it seems so far) are just pretty ok

Does anyone else have dumb reasons for disliking artists? Cause father John misty reminds me of a rm I had in college for one term and I therefore can't stand him lol. I didn't even hate that rm, she was just kinda annoying

 

Just here to defend Tidal Wave. That was a good rock and roll record. Much good songs.

 

trying to think of some of mine petty reasons for disliking artists,I've got one if I don't like their look or vibe like say Halsey

 

My other rm used to blast Lorde every morning way before my alarm was set to go off so now I hate Lorde.


There are a lot of artists whose looks and vibe I dislike. Ariana grande has probably the worst look and image in pop music and I hate looking at her photos and videos


I hate red hot chili peppers cause I think I got car sick while they were on the radio once and now I associate them with nausea.


I think those are my most petty lol

 

yeah if Ari didn't have jams I wouldn't be able to deal with the very sexy baby look, especially because I'm always worried some creepy old dude thought of it

 

Tbh it isn't even that for me really. I think her image is just really bad. It looks low budget and tacky and I see her trying to look brown with that tan talking hood love smh.

 

I'd say the dumbest reason I may not give a band a chance would be their fanbase being shitty or flat out annoying. Can also be that some one I know hypes a band or artist up so much that my expectations are way too high going in to the point that I set myself up for disappointment. Also if some one says something to the extent of "*insert artist* is the best thing since sliced bread", at this point I really don't trust them at all and just don't even try unless I'm desperate for new musc that I can't find on my own. Usually happens with a lot of Indie Pop bands that have like 2 popular songs and bore me to death.

 

I've you've run into this overhype problem so often, wouldn't you over time learn to go into recs from that person with sightly less lofty expectations? Seems like as much a problem with your inability to adapt as anything.

 

I like almost every angels and airwaves song I've heard more than almost every blink song

 

Could never get into Run the Jewels. They are good at what they do, but its all so rinse and repeat. Definitely a fan base that likes them and shits on other rappers too, which rubs me the wrong way every time.

 

They talk about real things!!! Not just bitches and hoes and drugs!!!
