i always forget about Resurrection

 

Resurrection is good. Huge step up from Radiosurgery but doesn't touch their old stuff.

I loved Worst Person when it first came out, but now I feel like it's a little too "on the nose"/would have been better if it was a little more subtle

 

Worst Person, One More Round, Persistent, Living Hell (this one is especially bad), and On My Own are all pretty terrible songs.

 

Their live album was great. Wish they did more of them, such a good live band.

 

Agree that Catalyst is disjointed and too long for me to want to listen to it in full

 

I didn't like resurrection at first, but my gf and I broke up about a week after its release, and that album then really resonated with me. It's not my favorite album of theirs, but its definitely the most meaningful to me, which is not something I anticipated from this release

 

While I really like Catalyst, probably my 3rd favorite album of theirs, I agree there are a lot of songs that are filler especially towards the end. 1st half of that album is very strong though.

 

They played the new single for the first time last night.

Sounds like the studio version could be great.

 

I liked it. Reminds me of something off Catalyst a little bit.

 

Sounds pretty good. Jordan sounds pretty rough on that recording though.

 

Can't wait for the whole album.. So do y'all think "Makes Me Sick" is the album title now that the title of the first single has been released? Also, are there any staff/contributors who've heard any of these songs?

I was thinking the "makes me sick" thing could've just been a reference to the music video for "Happy Being Miserable" since they posted a photo of a pie eating contest. Maybe they get sick from pie in the video or something? haha

I really hope the title isn't Makes Me Sick, not really a fan of sentence titles with the band name ... plus it opens them up for endless jokes if the album sucks lol. I can't tell if it's a lyric in the song or not from the live video.

 

Woo. Less an hour away before the announcement. Finger's crossed for some sweet pre-orders and a new song/music video.

 

I'm actually listening to Resurrection for the first time right now. Definitely not great, but a step up from Radiosurgery.
I really like Selfless, The Enemy, and The Crown.

And holy hell they really say a lot on The Worst Person.

Never though I'd find myself refreshing the NFG website anxiously awaiting details on this album in 2017 haha
