That's essentially how I felt about it. Like I wanted to get into WW because I never have read anything of her (minus JL, but even then she's such a secondary character) and people rave about Simone's run but I just found most of it uninteresting honestly. I'd be down to try again someday but not anytime soon. Like you N52 run was fine, it just seemed to me that too much stuff was constantly going on and not enough WW character development. Then again maybe I completely missed alot of things lol

Yeah I think we feel pretty much the same here. There is a lot of gold to be found in there though, when Wonder Woman is kicking ass. The best WW stories I've read were Justice League related or Kurt Busiek's Trinity, which she plays a much larger role in than most of her solo's. The True Amazon was great, check that out if you haven't. The two storylines running in Rebirth are both fantastic though, exactly what I want in a solo book. (Maybe Steve Trevor could be thrown in to the pile of rotating characters I've been complaining about, but I like him, might just be because I have history with him)

New 52 WW has a mostly great cast, though. Like, Orion was trash, but Ares as a mentor was a much cooler character than Ares as a villain. The whole Greek pantheon was handled in such an interesting way, further enhanced by gorgeous Cliff Chiang art.

I didn't really care about the baby being born and that was sort of the entire premise of the series, haha. I didn't find the gods too interesting. The first born was pretty cool

Also another incredible Wonder Woman story was her team up with Batwoman in her New 52 run. That was pretty much perfect.

While I don't necessarily have anybody in my family that's THAT backwoods, it's all absolutely 100% true.

Take that back I do have an Uncle that showed up to his underage daughter's wedding with a shotgun so it's kinda close hahaha

I dont either. I did have coaches that i was pretty sure that could literally get away with murder though. There were some pretty scandalous rumors about some of them and they went unphased by any of it. Also just the small town cast of redneck characters captures this area pretty well i think

omg I hate Saga so much. It took me so long to read that last page through the tears in my eyes.

(By hate I of course mean in the best possible way)

Hazel's narration through all that stuff at the end. Just ugh. I got very emotional.

Coward ass BKV dipping out of social media so i can't yell at him.

Totally. And since you immediately see what's happening on the page you have to read it the whole time those images are weighing down on you. The finale black pages were so perfect.
Haha, did he duck out specifically because of Saga?

JL vs SS conclusion was alright, too much set up for JLA and I was maybe hoping for at least one more Watchmen hint. Looked great though. Fun event but not a necessary buy.

I've gotten into Reborn and I love it. Greg Capullo is the best.

It's tough to judge The Punishersince this is the first one without Steve and I couldn't get that out of my mind. I wasn't too impressed with the new art. The letters page was incredibly sad.

Batwoman Begins was cool but never reached the heights of JH Williams run but I'm definitely super excited for the solo Batwoman book.

I'm really into the new Batgirl arc but the art was super inconsistent. Humans looked like ostriches from afar. Sometimes I was happy with Bab's close ups.

The Action Comics conclusion was perfect. I loved that arc to death. Some really interesting hints for the future on the last page.

Batman 66/Wonderwoman 77 was definitely the weeks highlight.

I'm not making much money at the moment, and I'm planning on taking advantage of my shop's twice-per-year $1 comic "Legendary Basement Sale" this Saturday. So, I'm being careful with how I spend my money.

So, of course, I just placed an IST order.

The Silver Age Supergirl Omnibus I've been considering buying for a while was randomly 50% off, so of course I had to take the dive. Also got Nightwing Rebirth vol. 1 and Brandon Graham's Prophet vol. 1. Yay for spending $50 that you have but should probably hold onto...

No he quit it a few months ago. He only started using it when image released the private eye hardcover and was only on it for a little while before he dropped out. He just doesn't like it.

I'm going through my pull from the last two weeks, and just read Saga.

And, I dunno, I didn't feel emotionally impacted. It's weird. I was really invested when Izabel died earlier in this arc 'cause that's one of my favorite characters. And my sister-in-law literally just lost her two-month-old pregnancy (spoiler-tagged that non-comic statement 'cause it kinda gives away what happened in the comic), so I should've in theory been primed to feel that impact. But, like, I dunno... I feel like I'm just losing steam on this series. I'm just, for whatever reason, not invested anymore.

Still, I do have to give props to the use of the final pages in the issue. Fantastic creative decision there.

For me i started losing a little bit of interest an arc or two ago, the one one where Hazel was in school specifically. These last six issues really sucked me back in and i am fully invested.

Feels weird spoiler tagging this but im sorry for your family's loss

I think the problem is, with the growing cast and various plot lines, many of them not super compelling, I've just lost track and lost interest. There are some great characters here, and great moments, and great art, but the sum of the parts doesn't carry me through like it should.

I honestly might just drop the series and catch up later. I've heard people say this series reads better in trades, and while I didn't initially agree, I now wonder if that really is the case. I have the first three arcs in trade format, so it's not like I need to continue with single issues for completionist reasons.

Thanks. I didn't react strongly at first 'cause the pregnancy didn't feel 100% real to me yet at only ~2 months, but it's been really hard on my brother and his wife. My brother told us he didn't think it'd be as hard as it's been. My young nephews have asked them if the baby will be in heaven. Tough situation all around.

I wonder if the baby loss in the comic would've had more impact had it not just happened so suddenly. The page with Marko listening was really sad, but the chaos of the moment distracted me too much.
