I think there's one song on Phantoms stronger than "Different" and I still wouldn't have put it out as the lead single.

 

I went to a show before they were on mtv and Take Cover was the song everyone got super hyped about so that's a reason I didn't understand Different being the single they released. I really thought they would have gone with So Contagious.

Never heard of this band until now.

 

for some reason One Ok Rock are so popular that blink is supporting them in Japan (granted One Ok Rock are from there but still)

Jason sounds very weird on the chorus. Not sure what it is. Song's alright. Better than the first single. I wouldn't say I like it better than anything on phantoms, but it's only my first listen do whatever. Still excited for the album

That was soooooo much better than the first song. Any hope I had lost before is now working its way back.

 

Hmm, after one listen I actually prefer the first single!

 

I think both songs are great although the clip of Fire and Rain is still easily my favourite thing I've heard from the new album.

Really dig the new song! Cool video too.

 

Both songs released have such a weird rhythm in the first verses. It's so indistinct and hard to latch onto, for me at least. Very oddly produced, and could've immensely benefited from fuller drum parts.

 

This is insane. I haven't really liked any of the singles?!

 

This is shaping up to be a fantastic pop rock album, and those opening vocals give me some MuteMath vibes. I dig it.

 

I feel you there! Take You Away was incredible too I'm just not feeling the new songs. Why are they not gripping?

 

FWIW I enjoy both of these new songs more than Take You Away. Not even gonna try to compare them to Phantoms because that was such a long time ago and I'm emotionally attached to those songs anyway

I also enjoy these new ones more than Take You Away... I'm excited for this album.

 

"Take You Away" is good, and it certainly whet my appetite for new Acceptance and hinted at the direction they'd be going, but these 2 tracks are far better.

 

Take You Away basically hinted at Phantoms part 2 imo

 

I definitely didn't get that impression. It was just a "we're back" song. I expected them to be different when they actually started writing an album.

 

Take you away sounded way more like these songs than anything oh phantoms. Also, did that song ever get an official release?

 

I feel like once I sit down with the entire album it will all fall into place for me. I'm still excited about the release.
