The planetary configuration makes you likely to reap the benefits of all your hard work, @oldjersey. The little windfall you receive is nice, to be sure, but don't think of all of it as fun money. Put a good amount aside in a savings or investment account. You can use the rest to kick up your heels a bit. Why not invite @dadbolt to dinner at the nicest restaurant in town?

Keep your mind on the present, @oldjersey. As much as you'd like to be somewhere else, your daydreaming is getting out of hand. If you're sincere in your desire to explore other lands, begin some research. For now it's better to focus on any problems that make you want to run away. Open a dialogue with @dadbolt with whom you've had a misunderstanding. You will find this brings immeasurable relief.

I like olive oil better than other oils posted in here. Peanut is also good. You don't have to use much. Just get a super thin layer on the pans surface area. Too much oil makes your shit not do right. Also once the chickens done, put it and it's juices in the same pan as your vegetables and satay. At the very end you can put sauces to glaze on the shit with high heat.

You could use butter or ghee also instead of oil which is prob my favorite.

So cook the chicken first then throw the veggies in obviously right? Also satay???

Well for stir fry you don't want to use olive oil, which has a lower smoking point. A true stir fry needs to be obscenely hot so the vegetables cook quickly and retain their crispness. Olive oil would burn well before it got to the correct temperature.

I would start the chicken first bc it takes longer. Then get the veggies going in their own pan. Then transfer the chicken over to the veggies once it's done. Just me. You could do it other ways too.

The chicken is going to take longer to cook so it needs to go in first. You don't want to cook the vegetables starting at the same time as the chicken or you are gonna have some limp ass vegetables.

Damn, son. You crazy. Two pans!? What kinda fancy rich life do you lead?

But f'real if you just toss the vegetables in the same pan as the chicken but at a later time this saves you a step.

    Peanut oil is most traditional.

Basically what @Ken said in his post.

Is a bit of redecorating in order? This is a perfect time to spruce up your home. Rather than rush into a project that you might later regret, @MikeyPaine, it's better to spend the day with color and fabric swatches. Once you're happy with a scheme, then you can pick up a paintbrush. Think hard before making a decision, consult @dadbolt if you're overwhelmed.

I sear the shit out of jalapeño with olive oil sometimes. Guess I should be using something else.

Avocado and grape seed oil are very unsung oils to the general populace. They're really very good.

I like to keep things like carrot and broccoli crisp. But have things like onions and mushrooms get caramelized. 2 pans.

You can totally use olive oil. You can absolutely make a serviceable stir fry with olive oil. Just if you wanted like the *raises pinky and sneers* most "authentic" stir fry you would use peanut oil and a temperature you most likely can't achieve with your home stove.
