Lol prettttty much. A lot of this stuff is stuff states could have tried via the ACA with one of the waivers built into the law. There are some big differences though.

States that keep the ACA, which is an option, also keep the individual mandate, and all the protections of the ACA like the health benefits. States that make the switch, however, do not keep those essential health benefits. You'd end up with some states giving less comprehensive care to their residents than others.

Happily and lukcily, Medicaid is NOT block granted in this bill....which won't stop Ryan or someone else from doing so via an amendment or a different bill, but still.

I'm sure more detailed writeups on this are going to come out today, I'll post em when I see em.

 

I had a lot of people call Jeffries to say no, hope it works out just in case. It didn't seem like his office was even aware it was happening. Insane that we have to protect basic rights for healthcare.
