    Holtby lost again!

    Marty's record might be safe

I don't like these 'last day of the season' situations one bit.

Jesus fucking christ Tarasenko was on the ice by about 3 seconds before Berglund got off. At least we can rest anyone we need to on Saturday now. Still would have liked for Darling to get the W in his last start

Not guaranteed to be his last start. Remember how things went in the first couple rounds of the playoffs last season? lol

WORKED OUT JUST FINE FOR THE FLYERS IN 2010.

Ya, still bitter. Stupid Olli Jokinen.

Sabres in 2011, but then they got knocked out in 7 in the opening round to Philly haha

Flyers still in a decent position but god damn it. I just knew they were going to do this.

Indeed, and given the Crow is likely coming off a concussion who knows how he'll be in a game anyways.

Also Hawks ended the season losing 12 straight against Western playoff teams so that's not the best.

we looked absolutely incredible in March and now that's all going to shit. it's just a straight up coin toss for us to make the playoffs. I don't think we can win both games this weekend so we need the bruins or the red wings to lose.

edit: even worse is that both the red wings and bruins play before us tomorrow. if both of them win, the pressure is on.

Corrado, Rielly, Gardiner... It's not much but it'll do.

Actually, is not much at all.

I mean, I really said it just to be a wiener but they really need some better defensemen in the pipeline or they'll be following a dangerous path

Except for the Rielly and a bunch of depth part. And it's still only year 1.

Wings fans- any indication if Helm will be brought back?

I think he'd be the perfect 3rd line C for Hynes' system

They'd be stupid not keep him

You have Rielly, they have Nurse...one defenseman does not a D-corps make. They need more in the pipeline. Whether via draft or trade. Just my opinion, they could do with one more top 2/4 prospect for when their window opens down the road.

I really look forward to a rejuvenated Sabres/Leafs rivalry with Eichel/Reinhart/Ristolainen etc vs. Reilly/Nylander/Marner etc.

Dermott, Valiev, Loov, Harrington, Percy, Nielsen, Carrick. We could definitely use another blue chip d-man, which none of those guys are, but we have a lot of potential middle pairing guys. And again, still year 1.

I hope to god one of Sergachev or Juolevi falls outside the top 10 and we can trade up for them.

I expect Carolina to take a shot at Ladd in FA, but assuming they don't land him, is JVR available? Only asking because of our abundance of high end D prospects.

If we were to trade JvR, I'd hope it be for a d-man of similar stature - mid 20s, pretty established with still some room to grow, a la Sami Vatanen. One way in which I do worry we may emulate Edmonton is by trading away all our vets and not having anyone to insulate the kids. It's why I was hoping we'd keep Phaneuf.

Plus we have no one like JvR in our system.

I personally prefer we keep him barring a nice overpayment.

That's fair. Carolina's forward core is small in both size and numbers, only reason I ask.
