Just a heads up in case anyone else is interested. I grabbed them right away.

 

Downloaded the first two Aphra issues on kindle. Holy shit I love this character. She's like Bizarro Indiana Jones (my favorite movie character of all time). Her intro is basically like the opening of Raiders, but if she was Belloq instead of Indy. Plus part two parallels The Last Crusade with Indy and his dad.. And the droids are a real treat. A homicidal C-3PO? So good. I'm going to have to read the Vader series now.

Side note, this is literally the first comic I've read outside of Calvin and Hobbes. I had no idea it they were so short. I figured one issue would be between 50-100 pages. They're quick to read, but also fun to go back over and appreciate the illustration.

 

The artwork on Vader is crazy good. That book is just so awesome. Gillen is a great writer who does Vader right. The Vader book is actually a little bit of a spin-off to the Star Wars book. There is one cross-over called Vader Down, but you can just read that one book and get everything.

if you are interested in collecting, instocktrades.com is going to have the best prices. Libraries are a great option. For digital, comixology.com (an amazon subsidiary) has a good amount of deals and what not. I won't advocate illegal means, but those work too. lol

 

Rebels was great this week. I love what they did with Saw.

 

Just watched the latest episodes of Rebels and... I just do not care for Saw, at least as played by Forest Whitaker. He was really awful in Rogue One and he was less awful here but... Idk the way he speaks just sounds silly to me and it makes me not buy him as this grizzled extremist. Truthfully I haven't actually really seen Whitaker in anything else so maybe I just don't like him as an actor, but I just think he was miscast.

 

The darksaber episode was so good. More of that please.

 

I cried. Legit tears rolled down my face during Sabine's letting go.

Can't believe we have a month before a new episode.

I finally found a store that had the board game Rebellion in it!

So excited to play. Just gotta find some time.

 

Scar Squad in the comics are fucking dope. Could totally see a movie with them being crazy good.

 

So, the Rebels YouTube page posted this today. Make of it what you will...

 

It could be just an old scene they thought would be fun to share, but I'm hoping it's to prime us for a Knights of the Old Republic series.

 

I find it highly unlikely it was posted without reason. But we will have to wait and see.

 

That's definitely from the Mortis arc where reality is kind of nebulous so it's not actually him but a reference that he existed. I'm guessing it's gonna be another history lesson and he gets name dropped similar to Tar Vizla in the latest episode.

 

I've been watching Clone Wars on Netflix lately. I wanted to give up on season one multiple times but season two has been on fire. I'm just over halfway finished and there hasn't been dull episode yet

 

I've been watching it on my laptop and just skip through parts of the boring ones. I'm not watching any of these dumb Padme JarJar team up episodes. Can blow through some of them in 10 minutes or so and not feel like I'm missing anything.

 

100% agree with this. They had two or three that I remember during season one. That was when I thought about giving it up. The Jar Jar hijinks were getting to be too much for me

 

Marvel is going to have a crossover with the main comic and Dr Aphra called Screaming Citadel that is described as gothic horror. Dr Aphra continues to be excellent, the newest issue was the best, they're building up a strong villain too.

 

I read somewhere that Clone Wars is leaving Netflix on 3-14 so I'm trying to finally get through it

 

WHAT! I'm only on Season 3.
