It just goes to show that the press was really just mad that Spicer wasn't playing their game in that first appearance. He read a statement, yelled at them, but never let them engage. Press just wants to be a part of the theatre it seems. That is the extent of their outrage.

In other words: we are so fucked.

Am I taking fucking crazy pills? Going to lose my mind, it's like I'm in an alternate reality. If the press is going to be this stupid and gullible, we are even more screwed than I thought.

The more I think about the press conference, the more apt the comparison to how bosses divide workers is. And honestly, the press is not equipped to deal with those dynamics. Being of a privileged profession obscures the actual relations they face. More importantly, Trump will just lie and lie with impunity because that is the game he has dedicated himself to playing, whereas the press is holding on to a framework in which they remain the prominent place from which people get their information.

This is how I've been feeling for months. Like, are the people I follow on Twitter and the people in this thread the ones that have lost their minds? Why is the press full of the world's most incompetent idiots?

Coming off the high of the Women's March and seeing this press conference take place, along with executive orders, and announced plans for the DAPL and Syira is seriously, incredibly demoralizing and exhausting.

Anyone know what time the senate is voting on Tillerson today? Also, with McCain, Graham, and Rubio, all saying they will vote for him, that basically destroys any chances of him not being confirmed right?
