I've felt like this for weeks. Spoiled what happened for myself. I haven't gone back to it because of that.

 

Been on a Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande kick over the past few weeks.

Anything else in this group I've missed and I should make sure to check out?

 

Watch at your own risk. The 100 might not be much escapism haha. But Legends of Tomorrow has been pretty solid lately. Sara's killing it

I mean, without getting too much into it because I've ranted for days in The 100 thread and you and others haven't seen the episode: tonight hit on two things that were very much breaking points for me. I was probably going to bow out at the end of this season anyway, but now I'm definitely not interested anymore

 

Yeah, there's just a lot so it's hard and I'm constantly getting my files and myself reviewed so that makes the pressure more intense. My files are behind by months and I've had three people review them this week and it sucks. Like I won't get fired but I hate underachieving. I want to grow but at this rate my file review score will have regressed and that's defeating. We get funding from the government and if I screw up the files we can lose funding. But my files aren't up to date when we're understaffed and I'm doing things I shouldn't have to be doing that's taking up my time.

Sorry for the novel lol but it's frustrating.

 

I don't know if I can handle the Hawkpeople. I wanted to throw things at my TV. Hahaha. I plan to check it out at some point though.

 

I had to explain to my girlfriend that the website I frequented had almost nothing to do with punk music haha. Since the name change she's joined this website and I do think this new format has been a success.

 

Double post. But Fifth Harmony have some jams. I've really enjoyed Sia and AURORA's albums from this year.

I love that my uncle joined FB because now, I finally have someone to talk to about the random horror/cult film stuff that I typically post on there. I owe my fandom of film to him to be honest. He was the guy who knew all the cool stuff, I've spent my life trying to achieve that level of knowledge now that I think about it. Think I've done well so far.

 

I hate the new site because I've posted more in a month than I did on AP in like six months. But it's not blocked at work and the threads are way better so what can I do???

 

People are way more serious about shadow puppets than I thought.

When I worked my at my college I had to convince my boss to unblock AP.

No worries. I've totally been there as far as being behind on things and it especially sucks when your stuff gets reviewed by either peers or higher ups. I hate being caught with my pants down metaphorically and/or without an answer to things i'm responsible for. I've grown over time to be able to delegate the less important things (whirlwind things) to others so I can focus on the more critical to the business things. Not sure if that applies here, but being on a rhythm totally helps out in any case. Either way, chin up stay positive!

 

Also I feel like Miley is disliked on this site but Can't Be Tamed is an amazing album. One of my fave albums of all time. If we ignore the cover of Every Rose Has Its Thorn, which I do.

 

This is a worthwhile endeavor.

thanks bb! I think it's just that stressful nonprofit life lol. We're stretched thin, don't make much, and rely a lot on funding from outside sources that's contingent on us doing a LOT of paperwork, often pointless. Like we're doing paperwork for grants we don't even receive anymore. I'll be fine, it's just a month before summer vacay so everything is chaotic and overwhelming. Thanks for the kind words!

I've been way too obsessed with Kacey Musgrave's recent record lately, probably the only modern country record I'll honestly say that about.

 

You should check out some of the artists we've been talking about in the country thread.

 

I thought about plugging my friend and his band since they dropped an EP today but I won't put y'all through that. The music sounds like Citizen Cope, there's rapping sometimes, and the lyrics are really bad.

 

Update on that workshop, I didn't speak during it, but a few people started calling him out on his shit. Not aggressively or anything, but it was something.

Also, as I kind of expected, my poem about Lapis was not well received, since most people didn't get the reference, among other more writerly reasons. I mean, I guess the whole point of the workshop is to see how to improve the piece, but a lot of my recent poems have been met with a resounding "huh?" and I'm just, bleh.

 

Will do, been meaning to check that out. It's kinda funny, I typically align myself with punk/harcore and metal as music that was formative but honestly, country has had so much more of an impact on me. Bluegrass too. Like my family used to drive out to all kinds of festivals growing up and looking back on it, I wish I wasn't such a shitheaded teenager like I was then and I would have appreciated all the music more.
