This lineup my god

 

This Cubs-DBacks series is aiming to be a slugfest. Both teams' lineups are good.

 

Hopefully the Cards can turn things around this weekend, rough start but there's still time to move ahead.

 

This Cubs team is going to win a lot of games this season... sheesh.

 

Man, I am truly excited for the Cubs. Like as much as I want to be a dick about it because of dumb rivalries, I do acknowledge that there have been generations of Cubs fans who have never seen a title and I want this team to be the one that fulfills that.

 

I understand. I'm not big into rivalries, except for college football. As a Tigers fan, I am enjoying watching the Royals team, and the White Sox and Cleveland's rotations.

 

this must be uncharted territory or something but the drewism's of the cards fans right now are kinda ridiculous

 

You mean here or online in general? If it's the latter, those are dudes who clearly never grew up in the 90's/very early 00's when the team was pretty much garbage compared to now or bandwagon fans who got too comfortable with the team's success in the last how many years. Like yeah, the last three games were hard to watch. Here's the thing though, the season just started and there's plenty of time to turn things around. If that doesn't happen, at least maybe all those dudes I described can crawl back into the woods of bandwagonry that they spawned from.

 

Its too early for the doom and gloom. Any Cards fans that are acting as such are just being silly.

 

I dated a girl who acted like that, I almost gave up on my fandom because she was that insufferable about all things Cardinals. Hell, I want to say the reason I'm so cool with the Cubs/Pirates/whomever is because she showed me something that I didn't want to turn into.

 

Really impressed with The Yankees line up so far. Castro is on fire. Hopefully he keeps it up for awhile. Still a lot of question marks with this pitching staff, though.

 

That's hilariously sad. I would label myself as a baseball fan more so than a Tigers fan. Being that intense about rivalries seems too limiting. I couldn't imagine not enjoying Chris Sale pitch just because I am a Tigers fan. This Cubs team is just too well put together to not enjoy watching simply for wanting your team to be better.

 

It was. What ended our relationship basically was her acting like a child because she didn't get this promo replica jersey they were giving away that day. Nevermind that I gave her what were $110 tickets apiece tickets for her birthday and tried to do everything I could to make her happy, I was the asshole because she didn't get there in time for a cheap giveaway. I will never date a Cards fan again because of that.

Since then, I definitely have become more of a baseball fan than just a fan of whomever I support. I love this sport a lot and being such a hardline Cards fan prevented me from actually appreciating the sport like I could have.

 

sooooo the season is going pretty well so far

 

Joey Rickard's been a fun story for the Orioles early in the season. So was the Twins gift-wrapping them a win last night.

 

Lol the '98 Yankees started 0-3. Nobody overreacts like baseball fans.

I mean part of it had to do with Arizona's awful pitching but still! They were so much fun to watch!

 

I wish they were my entire fantasy lineup. Unreal.

 

Really worried about the sox facing Stroman today. That dude throws HEAT

 

Can we talk about how the Giants clowned the Dodgers yesterday? Outside of Kershaw, LA's rotation/bullpen is such garbage. Maeda and Kazmir looked good against the Padres but I doubt they keep it up playing against the better NL teams. Wouldn't mind another 12 runs today. Go Giants.
