Assange is realizing that just because a candidate is also a rapist doesn't make him worth helping become president

He deleted the tweet of course, but some guy came at Ron Perlman yesterday with the "stick to acting" nonsense. I think this is my favorite so far

 

The majority of marchers were white so of course there weren't any arrests.

 

I'm honestly trying to figure out the reasons for these actions and their ideological basis. There are people that support Putin,for example, because they think of him as an anti-imperialist. This doesn't seem like it is the case with the decisions he has made. I take the recent tweets about Trump as intended to give the veneer of fairness, but I still can't quite wrap my head around it.

A thought about using the words lie or lies in print: I imagine that could run afoul of libel laws...that's why even a guy like Dylann Roof is "alleged shooter" until conviction.

So I definitely advocate being careful of this and have done so in the past. Maybe an alternate take in this context though is that without social media sharing, tagging, and posting yesterday's turnout would likely not have been nearly what it was. I think it says something that expected turnout vs. actual turnout was at such a disparity. Not sure if it signals passive interest, unsure interest, or cautious interest, but we're at the point where we need to be making these formative relationships with a growing base of people and we just can't afford to eschew social media as a means of organisation.

That being said, my other two cents are 1) If you're planning on doing anything that may have legal repercussions I am with them 100% and 2) Law enforcement in the US has and will always operate under the cut-the-head-off-the-snake methodology. Protect your groups' leaders.

yep, that's about what i can figure it to be. can't imagine they didn't suddenly wake up to the threat that comes from a presidency that's been ideologically built around imperialism and autocracy since day one. esp since assange flaked on coming in after Manning's commutation, they might be trying ot get back in good graces with people who aren't fascists

I'm not going to lie, I knew Green Bay's defense was going to let them down. Been terrible all year.

 

I guess it's better to just be careful w/ social media and how you use it, what you post, and what info you put on it, as opposed to eschewing it. And always make sure to get permission from people before you share any info that isn't yours, even if it's just photos/GIFs that aren't jokes/memes or w/e.

People keep placing faith in "decent" republicans. There is no such thing and they will turn on you. It is why the campaign should have never tried to get moderates on board. They care more about their own issues.

 

Honestly, the "clapping" (if it was actually the agents) at the CIA is right in line with what I would expect from the agency.
