I've been rewatching this lately and I love the writing style, very easy to slip into this kind of conversation

 

You lot need to stop bumping this thread until there's news on a S03E01 air date

Wasn't the season 2 premiere date just a few weeks after it was announced?

How much of this would I need to watch to know if im going to like it or not?

 

Honestly, the show was already pretty much fully realized in the pilot but if you aren't on board after episode 2 it's probably not for yoi.

Also on episode 1 there may or may have not been too many of Rick burping dependent on how tolerant you are. They quickly drop the frequency episode 2 onwards

 

I started with ep2 because my brother said the pilot sucked. I went back & watched it & it was pretty good, but that may be a warning to not expect ep1 to be the best this show has to offer. Some of these episodes are the greatest animated comedy I've ever seen; way better than everything bar The Simpsons impo.

Ep 2 is the inception spoof with Scary Terry right? If so, then yeah start with that one for sure.

 

My friend stopped after episode 1 for that reason. Honestly when it first aired I wasnt too sold on it either.

 

Pilot is easily the worst of the series imo, if I had had seen that first I might not have kept with it.

 

ah, pilot haters! That episode was awesome! Amazing opening with Rick busting in drunk and taking Morty in his ship and the part where Rick tells Morty he's shooting at robots and Morty's reaction when they are not. Granted, its not as good as a lot of other eps, its still not bad.

I was in the minute I heard Lemon Grabs scream come out of Morty though. The reason I gave the show a chance.

 

the pilot is definitely the worst. not even close
