If there's a way to stream it legally, I couldn't find one.

It's currently being self-released on limited edition DVD by the filmmakers, ahead of official distribution. Tons of merch also available. The Barn Merch Store

To be completely honest they have a lot better chance of me buying it on DVD if I've seen it first. I'm also not the one who posted it there.

    Doing fine. Prestigious

The Barn was a fun homage, but a little long winded. Need to trim a lot of fat and there is a great throwback movie in there.

Regardless of my moral compass, I still think Clinical was a big turd. I guess other people should watch it so I can see what y'all think, ha

It comes down to the ending.

Watched The Good Neighbor starring the great James Caan last night on Netflix. It's about a couple to teens who want to make their neighbor think his house is haunted. The do this by planting things in his house, fiddling around with the electrical system, and some other gags.

It was decent, with a pretty unique premise, but that premise was tossed aside about 1/3 of the way through. It reminds me of Don't Breathe in terms of despicable characters doing something to a seemingly innocent man. But The Good Neighbor takes that theme one step further.

Caan is awsome, as always, but the teenagers perpetrating the experiment were complete douchebags in every way possible. The first being that they're causing physical damage to the old man's house, and laughing about it. It gets worse from there.

On top of that, the lack of parenting is extraordinary. These two kids literally have thousands of dollars of AV equipment yet they have no jobs, and no one wonder where they got the stuff from.

Then there was the ending. Which I feel had a message weaved in there. I won't spoil it. I'd recommend this to anyone that enjoys a good thriller.

I think I'm late to the party, but me and my wife started Channel Zero (the SyFy show). It's pretty damn good, but we're only in episode 2 out of 6.

I really dig the tone of it, and the way it cuts to intense images at random with no audio cue. Sometimes a sudden silent visual is more jarring than a random jump scare.

Speaking of that, are there any jump scares that focused SOLELY on the visuals? I think The Exorcist 3 did this (nurse walking through the hall).

Everyone should be jealous that I watched The Thing for the first time last night.

Those were the most satisfying effects I've ever seen.

By the way, watch The X-Files episode Ice (season 1 ep 8). It's basically The Thing in an hour long episode.

Any Dreadcentral.com fans here? They're switching over to Patreon and need help from fans ($1/month). Sadly, they're struggling to hit that goal. The site will most likely fold at the end of the next month if things don't turn around.

That said, if there are fans of DC here, I don't see the need for a subscription based website whatsoever.
