I watched it at work, with no sound. I didn't realize it was a French film, with French speaking characters, right?

Either way, it looks pretty damn strange. It kind of reminded me of When Animals Dream, from a couple of years ago - Når dyrene drømmer (2014) - IMDb

I know they're different, but tonally they seem similar.

 

yes, it's a French film. my most anticipated of the year for sure

 

Just peeped that trailer for Raw and I think it might top my list for this year. I'm not huge on foreign films but I've made exceptions in the past and I'm willing to again.

So I watched a movie called Pet. Definitely some cool ideas, but I don't think it fully delivered in the execution. Soft recommendation, and I'd also suggest avoiding the trailers.

I loved this movie. Took some typical tropes and turned them on their head. I definitely second avoiding the trailers, but I give a full recommendation!

I'm sorry chorus friends, but I'm an hour into The Witch and am extremely disengaged and bored, I'm failing to see the mass appeal

 

I had to watch it twice before I really appreciated it

if I'm being honest, I barely watch any horror films, maybe once or twice a year. That being said, the movie didn't even feel like a horror film

 

The director doesn't consider it one. Personally I favor a broad interpretation of the genre

 

as with music, I don't put much stock into genre if the movie or music is good

 

Bye Bye Man was the worst
