I thought it was pretty obvious that the FFTL dudes (at least Matt and Sonny) were recording again? Wouldn't surprise me that they're in there working with Feldmann. Also wouldn't surprise me if Travis handles their drum duties in the studio. I don't think they really have a full band. I think it's just those two.

 

Maybe "John Feldman" means feldy+blink guys now. They became one entity

 

Speaking of Travis doing stuff for other artists. What ever happened to his drumming on Antemasque's second album? I was really looking forward to that. I got to see Travis perform with them in San Diego and he was a perfect match with those guys. Pretty mind blowing to watch.

 

that album is all finished. they just haven't released it yet. maybe they're waiting until travis' touring schedule is cleared up, so they can tour for it.

 

I hope so. Makes me nervous thinking they might have scrapped it and used pieces for the new At The Drive-in stuff.

 

So here is a question, which are bigger venues arenas or amphitheaters? I ask this because of a debate my brother and I are having. Blink played in an amphitheater and all VIP and tickets sold out almost instantly. A perfect circle is playing in an arena, and I rushed to get tickets assuming it'd sell out as fast as blink did. Two days later there's still a handful of VIP and seats left. So is this because blink is bigger then APC or because arenas are bigger then amphitheaters?

I guess using Toronto as an example the Air Canada center(Arena) holds 19,800 and the Molson canadian Amplitheate holds 16,000. So slightly bigger but you would think it being APCs first tour in 6 years it would sell faster then it has.

EDIT:I failed to get blink tickets at molson canadian amplitheatre last year because it sold out so fast.

 

So arenas are bigger then amphitheaters I guess, which could explain some of the tickets left for a day or so. But yeah I agree, idk why APC didn't sell out as fast as blink did the amphitheater or heck even Tool last year sold the same arena APC is playing at out in 5 minutes.

Edit: the VIP tickets I got for blink were literally gone 10 seconds after I bought them, I checked out of curiosity.

 

Guess that makes sense. I shall do what i should have from the get go and look this up. Let's see. The Ampitheater holds 6,800. The arena holds 20,000....ok that is a big difference

 

Yeah it depends. Where I saw blink in CT, the ampitheatre they played is 30,000 (and it sold out in 2009) and the arena in that town is I think 16,000.

 

I would say blink is wayyyyyy more popular and successful. I would never expect any APC concert to sell out tbh

 

It was my birthday this week and my best friend and his wife got me one of Travis's drumsticks, used by the man himself, in a nice frame. They know how much blink means to me so this is like the BEST gift ever.

 

That was what I was saying, my brother was saying tool and APC are. I like all of the above(blink is my favorite of course, and obviously I like APC I got tickets to their shows), but I'd say blink comes out. Although I wouldn't short sell ACP both tool and acp have sold out shows around here before if memory serves

 

FFTL just released a new song with sonny. Assuming they were recording with John. I think we are safe saying blink / shrillex combo won't happen.
