Then you should know that more than 1 person is apart of the company. Actually, there's 7 of us of different races and religions. 5 of us post on here and not all of us are white and or Catholic.

But I am a minority who is familiar with the language of white folks when discussing other cultures, in this case food.

Anyway, that's what happens when you ask white people to re-evaluate their perceptions of race and culture on the topic of food. They get defensive.

So yeah, Juicy Platters is subpar to the Halal Guys. It's like comparing a steak from Applebee's to a 5 star steakhouse. Hopefully no one else overthinks this and blows a gasket over something that's not there!

Bumping the NJ thread cuz it's a been a while.

Heading over to one of my favorite non-NYC dim sum spots tomorrow, Qin Dynasty in Parisippany. Gonna get stuffed on pork buns, shu mai, taro dumplings, and all the other good stuff.

 

I'm working at Asbury Park beach again for the 5th summer in a row. If anyone wants free admission and some lounge chairs and umbrellas, hit me up!

 

Shore season is around the corner. Im normally not much of a beach person, but this summer I'm trying to go to as many different beaches as I can with my friends that I have yet to visit. Typically I only go to Ocean City.

 

I usually go to Squan for the beach but I'm in AP all the time for food/bars when I'm back down there. I hit The Speakeatery constantly when I come home-home from where I live in North Jersey now, might be my favorite place there.

Festhalle rooftop season is, objectively, the best season. Pretzels and Weihenstephaner all day/night.

I'm moving out of Jersey for the first time in my life at the end of this month. Feels real weird to be leaving, I'm gonna miss it a lot.

 

I didn't, but I saw them there. I actually didn't go to the AP biergarten at all this winter, for some reason. Just never got around to it. I'll be fixing that in the near future though.

 

I don't drink, but I'll go out sometimes. Bond Street is for sure my favorite, but if you're telling me biergarten has good pretzels then oooh boy I'm in
