I'm not getting one for the foreseeable future.

 

I haven't had a Nintendo system since the Wii but I've been tempted for a while now to get a Wii U just to play Mario Kart and Smash Bros

 

I was "lol @ the Switch" for the past 3 months and for all of the announcement.
I saw the Zelda trailer.
Im now buying a Switch Day 1.

 

Nintendo Switch will cost $299.99 in the US, £279.99 in the UK and 29,980 yen ($260) in Japan.

 

That Zelda game looks absolutely incredible. The art/design of the gameworld is one of the best I've ever seen, just from the trailer!

 

The core gameplay is fantastic but I don't think the open world elements work so well, I posted about it here:

I still think MGSV is great. I just think it could've been near perfect if they had removed the more tedious aspects of the game. I don't understand why it's open world, it doesn't add anything other than the monotonous task of repeatedly traversing around an empty, lifeless map between missions.

 

I think that Zelda trailer is my favourite trailer of all time. It's perfect.

 

Also, the next few months are fucking stacked.

I might play more games in the first three months than I did last year.

 

Switch is one of the most disappointing things in gaming in a long time for me

€330 in the Eurozone because Nintendo love us.

 

I'm playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider and it's really great. I think I may prefer the previous game a little bit but both are excellent. I really hope they stick with this iteration of Lara beyond a third game. I love how she's grown as a character so far and I think they could still do a lot more with her over the course of a few more games following ROTTR.

 

Watch Dogs 2 is amazon's Deal of the Day. $30.

 

The new trailer has me so hyped. It reminds me of a Studio Ghibli movie.

 

welp going to walmart to ask about preordering the switch there was an exercise in futility.

 

Almost done with TF2's campaign.

Then I think I'll focus on Sunset Overdrive and BF1's MP.

 

Breath of the Wild is so gorgeous

 

Snagged my pre order from best buy shortly after it went up. I REALLY hope this thing has streetpass for PAX East but i'm starting to seriously doubt it will.

 

I've spent most of the day just thinking about Zelda instead of paying attention. Probably going to fail my exam, thanks Nintendo.

 

I might pick up WD2 from that Amazon sale

 

damn forgot it'll be out a week before East, wonder how many we'll see there

 

got a preorder for switch in at target. had to pay 15 for release day shipping but im cool with it if i actually have a console on release day.

now to wait for that zelda master edition preorder

 

Caved in and started playing Smite despite my weird relationship with MOBAs in the past. Enjoying it so far, but I haven't really gone for any gods outside of Neith. Any tips for a new player? I feel like I've seen people in here talking about it.

 

Got both a Switch and that Breath of the Wild Master Edition at 3:30 AM EST this morning. On Amazon.

Went ahead and ordered Watch Dogs 2 on Amazon. I had some reward points on my credit card too, so I ended up only paying $14 for it!

I want to preorder the Switch so bad.. but I know I should wait until I actually get my taxes back and pay off a few other things.

 

Never bought a Wii or Wii U. Sadly, the switch hasn't pushed me over the edge yet. Always a chance I may want one in the future and I love Nintendo for always doing their own thing and not feeling the need to match Sony/Microsoft. Just a different preference in games I think it really comes down to.

 

Switch launching at $400, additional controller set $100? Oof
