Hawks-Wings last night was the first time since 97 that every player had a shot on goal

 

Yeah, it depends on which d-man they'd have to give up. The four on the roster right now should be untouchable and they're going to need to replace Hainsey with one of the kids next year too. They desperately need elite talent up front, though and I don't know how much the Avs are going to want for Duchene.

 

I think Fleury should be the one to go if we indeed go the trade route. I think Bean offers something different than the four we have in Raleigh right now.

Hanifin - Faulk
Slavin - Pesce
Bean - McKeown

I'd like to see that in a couple years.

 

I'm listening to the TSN Analytics podcast and they were talking to a stats dude from Columbus.

They started talking about Seth Jones and I legit forgot he was a Blue Jacket due to all the hype being on Werenski.

 

Seth Jones is that dude. Just a good athlete and skater. I know he was in the spotlight for one the losses recently when the puck jumped his stick and allowed the game winning fast break, but he is so damn good.

 

I love, and miss Seth Jones. He had frustrating moments, but he seems to have blossomed.

 

I was thinking Fleury too. There's not enough room to get everyone playing time and the left side is especially crowded. I think the team was hoping he would be with the big club by now but Slavin's emergence and lucking into Hanifin in the draft kind of complicated things for him. I'm not sure what his value is like around the league, though. High pick but numbers haven't been special in juniors or the AHL this year.

 

Which would make sense being such a young player breaking in as a defenseman. It was totally our benefit that you had too many really good defenseman. Pretty nice problem to have.

If I were KevChev, I would immediately trade Byfuglien to the first person to pick up their phone. That's the kind of embarrassing horseshit play Phil Kessel would make.

 

Today it hit me that the NHL is celebrating its 100th season the same year as the 100th edition of Giro d'Italia.

 

And we traded Danault and a pick for Weise and Fleischmann.

2016 was a banner year for Bowman all around

 

Tim Heed is playing tonight and I'm stoked.

It's kinda be really cool to see all these young Sharks player get a shot this year.

Brent Burns is currently 4th in the league with points at 44. The second highest defenseman is Hedman at 37 around 20th place.

Avs are looking for NHL ready D, which seems a little pricey because at this point they just need to tear it down
