Actually I'm pretty sure music is bad

 

I don't like Cymbals at all, mostly just because I don't vibe with the vocals though.

I feel bad for Cove, to be honest. That dude made Saosin popular and then got the boot supposedly for live performance issues. Well, Anthony Green hasn't always been the best vocalist in a live setting either.

"Best rock band" is way too broad for me to come up with a serious answer but the first band that comes to mind is Sleater-Kinney so I'm gonna stick with that

I like music I enjoy. I enjoy Busted a lot.

 

I don't like any music

 

I saw Saosin in 2009 and Cove just stood there for most of the show. Doesn't help that he couldn't hit the high notes either because the vocals he recorded were out of his vocal range, particularly on the S/T. Anthony has a much wider range.

 

I've seen circa five times and he's never been anything but on point

 

AG2003-2007 > Cove2006 > AG2010-now > Cove2009

 

I know there are those vocalists who excel in the studio setting while others sometimes sound better live, but early Anthony Green wasn't very great live either.

Cove was a vocalist for about the same amount of time Anthony Green was by the time he joined Saosin.

I think each only had a handful of years of experience prior to Saosin, just a few years removed from one another. Jeer at Rome was I believe the first band from Green, but it was only screaming.

 

Yea but that's Circa. I'm talking about Saosin in 2003.

 

Never got into any Anthony Green project - I saw Circa Survive but they had Touché Amore and Balance and Composurr as openers. Might end up seeing them again for the openers

 

But cove was in saison for longer than Anthony was and never improved and actually got worse as time went on because he didn't treat his voice

 

He was very fun to watch though based on YouTube videos.

 

Missed out on saying Foo Fighters are bad :(

 

I mean, how many year of experience do you expect guys in their young 20s to have? Anthony had a good voice and great stage presence. Cove supposedly used to have good stage presence as well during his first few years in the band. Since 2007/2008, Anthony has continued to perform well, despite growing older and utilizing his choice in different ways, while Cove deteriorated and is now doing nothing.

From what I understood of the situation, Cove was handed a great opportunity and he blew it by not taking care of himself and it brought the overall energy of the band down during ISOSG.

 

Japandroids are good but I've always been thrown off by the heaps of praise they get from critics. Like I mean, good band, but come on lol

 

I guess along with the Cove stuff, I'll say that I think the Saosin S/T record clobbers anything else by either Saosin or Circa
