Pop punk?

Better pop punk:

 

A lot less known pop punk.

 

No, super slick/modern/late 90s early 00s brand pop punk. There are a billion better pop punk bands than blink, but of the New Found Glory/MXPX/All Time Low/whoever else style, blink is the only one I actually like at all.

 

i feel like public opinion has swayed hard against Say ANything in recent days. never was a big fan except for that first song on the album about the penis or Pinocchio or whatever

 

Bemis is always basically fighting a battle between his overwhelming bad instincts and his gifts as one of the best power-pop writers of his generation.

 

I need to start actually paying attention to what everyone's talking about, I definitely read that as "Bernie"

 

Shiksa is still one of my favorite songs because it's just way too goddamn catchy. Then I realize he's talking about Sherri Dupree and I'm like damnit, she seemed so sweet and innocent until he got his hands on her!

 

He would have won best pop punk songwriter

 

I don't think it actually has - it's changed a lot here tho for sure.

 

Also - I sort of don't get Blink but I didn't really listen to them when I was younger so I think it's reasonable to say that has something to do with it

I agree, but then again you can say that about any classic rock, punk or hip hop artist.

 

some things definitely have more staying power than others

It seems pretty straightforward that a kid who wasn't around at the height of Blink's popularity could still get really into them in their teenage years.

Tbh I'm not a fan of the vocalists of a lot of beloved bands on here tho I have always loved Geoff's vocals even tho there was that whole Tone Geoff thing. U might be like hey kiana which Geoff are you talking about why didn't u include a last name, and that is because I am tired of googling it every time I type his last name cause I always forget if there's an "e" or not.

 

Can't really get into them his voice pisses me off
