They could turn AJ back face at any time, and Randy or Bray could become a face at any point. Or, Randy/Bray could stay a thing and a spurned Luke becomes a face. They have options.

Also, wouldnt surprise me if they did a few heel/heel feuds in the meantime.

 

I give Smackdown a lot of credit for being able to transition Dean from the main event to midcard so seamlessly. Really wish Raw could do that.

And Miz should insert himself into the main event when the dust clears on all of this.

 

"You're a journalist....journalize!" might be the greatest thing Miz has said in all of this. Just pure insanity

 

I'm out of the country so I could only read recaps....I fell asleep reading raws recap and was actually enamored reading smackdown.

Not sure if I like ambrose winning the ic title though. I dont like reigns and ambrose having midcards belts but otherwise everything else sounded top notch (I'm sure the Nikki/nattie segment sucked balls)

The way that the win was presented was great. It may seem like an 'ehhh' move, but the way Dean has been for the last two weeks has been an awesome turn for his character. Its the first time I've EVER thought he was even a little bit 'unhinged'

Every time ROH posts a Kelly Klein match, I can't help but wonder why she is wasting her time with them. They are pushing her to the moon, but it means nothing, when no one gives a shit about their women's division.

 

Isn't Paige's nxt reign longer than asuka's? WWE calling asuka the longest reigning nxt women's champ now

 

Paige's reign is technically longer, but she won it at a taped episode. If you count her reign from the actual day she won the title, Paige's reign is longer. If you count her reign from when the episode was aired, Asuka is now the longest champion.

I think the miz's ic title run story arc is more important than ambrose at this time. I'd rather ambrose cost Miz the title to a more traditional mid carder...thereby letting ambrose vs miz be more personal rather than the belt. And then the belt could be used on a guy who could use it (Corbin, Mojo, Kalisto).

I'm sure it came off great on smackdown though and in the end I'm just excited that at least ONE TELEVISION SHOW remembers how to create exciting programming

 

Another thing that made it more exciting was that the show felt like it was built around the match. Miz opening sd up with another great promo and Maryse slapping Dean when he came out. Then Maryse finding and slapping Renee backstage. Cena/AJ being put in the middle of the show to allow the title match to main event. It all just felt very important

 

Are Lucha Underground's story-lines becoming too complicated, or is it just me?

That's great to hear. Just reading it, I love the fact that the ic belt story line was the feature story again...and that's really what makes smackdown so enjoyable. Different feuds and people get focus on a week to week.

Miz and ambrose could've stretched longer but again...I'm never gonna be upset over good shows

 

I think Ambrose had to win the belt for practical reasons. If he lost, Miz had literally nobody to challenge.

But doesnt feel like that feud is over. I feel like thats gonna lead to something at WM, honestly.

Has NXT been worth watching the last two weeks (Japan and Australia shows)? I presume they haven't actually been advancing any of the stories?
