To be honest, I wouldn't hold it against the current program nearly as much if they owned up to what happened, quit bemoaning the sanctions and whining that Paterno was unfairly persecuted, and just shut up in general. But for the most part, that's not what the school or its fans have done and I find it despicable.

 

I always wanted to get into college football but I'm from Long Island, New York so theres no local team... no college I went to has a team of note (nor my family). I always felt weird just "Picking up a team." Especially a team from far away that's "always in the race" cus it feels cheap. But there's so many college teams.

Excuse noobiness but does anyone in this thread background? Lil curious how anyone got into it with that background.

See, I think that but then I also thought about the fact that I've completely denounced FSU and Tampa Bay for doing a lot less. Really, there should be a line you draw.

 

Yeah that's true...as with music/movies like we often talk about in other threads on here, it's kinda up to people to draw their own line. Things like Penn State and Baylor go beyond what I can support though (and the schools' reactions don't help at all, like I said).
