Didn't like their last two records but that sucks. Always fun seeing them live during the flood era.

 

Was never a fan of OM&M but loved Attack Attack! and always look back on them occasionally as to how they became a big, albeit controversially awful band in the "risecore" scene. Sucks for Austin, and of course his fans. Hope he can get better.

I Prevail/Wage War/Islander/Assuming We Survive

 

Is that an I Prevail/Wage War co-headline or is I Prevail a lot bigger than I thought they were?

 

It's I Prevail headlining, and they've become pretty big now I think. Their most recent album hit #15 on the album chart selling 21k first week. Plus that PTV tour probably helped too.

 

I'm assuming it's an I Prevail headliner. They came a long way since the Blank Space cover and they're played frequently on Sirius XM Octane.

 

A date for that I, Prevail tour leaked. 2/18 at the Machine Shop in Flint, MI.

 

Not sure how it translates in terms of draw, but I Prevail has 772,000 monthly listeners on Spotify which is quite high for a band in that scene. It's higher than Of Mice & Men and We Came As Romans' current monthly totals.

For comparison, Wage War has 116,000 monthly listeners.

They also came out around the time that metalcore T-Swift covers were super popular. I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of it comes from that cover.

 

Maybe on their co-headliner with Dangerkids but on this last tour, they played it right in the middle: I Prevail Setlist at House of Independents, Asbury Park

 

I was at the venue that that tour came through in Michigan (I was in the upstairs room seeing Have Mercy), and my buddy that went told me that over half the crowd left after they played that cover.

 

Wow, and that's their home state show too. I thought they moved past that cover and had people wanting their originals but I guess I was wrong.

 

I would argue that I think they're past that cover now. That tour was in early 2015 and I think they've gained a lot of traction since they put out their latest album.

 

Crowd seemed to be very into them on the PTV/ND tour. They could be headed for big things in 2017.
