That's their second best album imo. Still enjoy at least half of it.

Phantoms is okay, but nothing remarkable whatsoever. I'm hoping I like the new album much more.

 

Yeah I never got the rabid hype for them either. I enjoy Phantoms well enough but that's really the extent of it. And I did not like their new song at all, really.

 

Album does not hold up, they were fine but it's not a sound I care to listen to anymore.

So Contagious is their one dope song still

 

There are some ear worms on it, but overall it's not an album I go back to a ton and I don't think it's quite the gem a lot of people seem to think it is.

 

mustve been a "had to be there" thing, because i discovered them long after they were gone and yeah phantoms did nothing for me. havent heard the new song

 

and speaking of a similar band that gets all kinds of hype, anberlin has 5 good songs tops

 

Even at the time I only just "liked" it. Like I know they have a rabid following (especially on here) but I just enjoyed the one album and never felt compelled to listen to anything else by them or see them live or whatever. Like even this month when TBS was doing their two NJ holiday shows, I had friend so stoked to see Acceptance on the second night and I was just like "sign me up for Saturday with The Starting Line only, thanks."

 

i wouldve wanted to go to the acceptance show just because gates were opening too and gates are incredible, better than both acceptance and tbs haha

 

Acceptance is cool but they're no Crossfade

 

crossfade > nickelback > acceptance

 

I couldn't pass up seeing TSL for the first time in (literally) ten years.

id love to see them too i actually really like TSL

 

Northstar is another band I don't get, I swear I try Pollyanna like once every year and I've never liked it

 

northstar is better than every band being discussed by a country mile

 

I'd even take Acceptance over them

 

TSL has only one good album and that is direction.

Island is one of the catchiest songs I have ever heard.

 

TSL is pretty overrated but they have a good albums worth of songs between BOATS and Direction
