No, I definitely thought that this year's holiday sales have been particularly good. They've even been awesome at actual retail outlets, rather than just on digital marketplaces like Steam and PSN.

 

Diablo III is purchased.

 

I'm probably going to end up buying Mad Max and new Deus Ex today.

 

Yeah, I think I'm gonna grab Deus Ex, $12 at Best Buy with GCU is too good to pass up.

I also now have the urge to get back into Diablo.

 

15€ is about as much as I would want to pay for Deus Ex in hindsight

 

I paid 90USD on DEMD. No regrets.

 

moving right along on the backlog after Witcher 3: started Arkham Knight today. so far so good, Batmobile is hella cool. I know one of the big complaints with AK is how much Batmobile there is, but I'm only a couple hours in so it's still fun.

 

Gonna put together some GOTY strawpolls in the next day or two.

Probably going to do a pick 3 for all categories. Then take the top 8 from GOTY category and do another poll limited to a single choice.

 

the batmobile is cool at first, but they use it to replace too much combat imo.

Otherwise no beef with it.

 

yep. it's fun to drive and a fun alternative for travel at first but it's too deeply integrated into many of the combat situations and puzzles which ends up getting tiring a few hours in. when you're batman doing your rocksteady batman combat thing, the game still shines. when you're punching a few dudes, going back to the batmobile to drive to a thing to pull it, punching a few guys, batmobile, etc etc, less so.

still a good game though, i'm still excited for wherever they take the series next.

 

There are rumors the Origins team is working on a Damian Wayne game

 

What is with DC's obsession with Damian Wayne? I think he is by far the least interesting character in the bat family.

 

I like Nightwing

 

He has a cool backstory, he's not my favorite though (Damian). If it's an Arkham style game that deals with the morality of killing villains that would be cool.

And yes Nightwing is awesome...Though Red Hood is the best....

Birds of Prey game (with Babs as Batgirl) would be the best.

I love how much of an asshole he is for a 10 year old

 

I was wondering how you'd feel about this news. If they lean into him being an asshole it could definitely be fun.

 

I feel like the oddball in Robin conversations.

It could definitely be cool and play into the moral dilemma pretty well.

 

I tend to like the characters more once they grow out of Robin and into their own hero al la Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin

 

Got Lego Avengers on the Playstation store for $15. Should be fun.

It's sad that there aren't any new superhero games so I need to resort to Lego.

Yeah outside of PS2 Spider-Man games and the Arkham series it's not like there's really any other good comic book games. Lego Games are probably the most consistent set of adaption video games there is. They're fun to play, usually make me laugh, and remain fairly faithful to the source material.

 

There have been several good comic book games since the PS2
