Been listening to some old Football Ramble podcasts today, from the 2014 world cup. Got to the Belgium -USA game and it made me wonder. How is football/soccer coming along now? There was a lot of support following that match, and I was wondering if that game has really been a catalyst for it to really grow?

It would be great to see the US becoming a regular fixture in the knockout rounds.

 

The game continues to grow here in the states, but obviously the huge amount of support will only be around during the World Cup/Olympics. I try to explain the game to my friends, but they get too overwhelmed with how many leagues there are. Then you try explain club vs. international play and they're out. lol. But that's just me though. I live in Texas, so American Football is king here and will always will be.

I admit I mostly watch Premier League and not much MLS, but I do support my local club.
