Super Mario Run update with my info

Where's everyone at with this game? Last night I finished out all of the black coins and unlocked the rest of the characters excluding Toadette. The Special Courses seem like they will be quite the challenge though so I'm saving those. I really wish there was more content to this game because it's soooo fun, but for $10 I can't complain.

 

I'm trying to get the black coins on 4-1. This is definitely the most challenging level so far.

 

Black coins up to 4-3

Almost there. Haven't really played Rally that much but I'd probably get on it after finishing the main game

 

Spoiler alert: that last coin in that level was the hardest to get in the whole game IMO. So don't get too discouraged.

 

I've gotten all black coins on 9/24, doing them sporadically and hopping to a different one when I get frustrated haha

 

haha I couldn't do that! I had to play through each level all three times before moving on to the next.

 

Last black coin in 4-1 is the consecutive jumps right? Yeah I think that was the hardest one so far.


The stage with the spinning blades is the only weak level for me so far. It was so boring and tedious to do, especially with backtracking at the start (1st black coin).

 

@Joel @Mrk_Brdshw Same. I do it in this pattern:

1-1 Pink
1-1 Green
1-1 Black
1-2 Pink
...

If I do all the pinks first, then all the black ones would be left and I would never want to be stuck doing that.

 

The last coin in that level requires the star and then getting up to the spikes at the very top of the level but is so damn hard to get through the bricks before the star runs out
At least I think that's how you get it... I ended up getting lucky with Mario and just taking a hit on the spikes and he somehow bounced up and got it...

 

These special courses are tough, particularly the one with the moving blades. The other two I was able to get relatively quick.

 

I have now spent upwards of 2 hours trying to get the black coins on level 2-3 in Mario run. Can I mail my iPhone to somewhere here who can do it for me ?? K thanks

 

I'm assuming it's just the last one?

 

Ahaha so I got it all within minutes of posting that. It was actually the 2nd coin lol. I kept getting the mushroom and because I was so big is hit the cieling every single time . I just skipped the mushroom and was able to do everything fine as small Mario. I think I just suck at this game TBH

 

Ok seriously, has anyone here beaten the black special course? That thing is so fucking hard. I can get each coin in the level at different times, but in order to get all of them in one run you have to perfectly place EVERY jump. This is as frustrating as any of the old Mario games.

 

I'm still stuck on the last black coin in 4-1. I've probably made 50 attempts on it already. Half the time i mess up getting the first two in that level.

 

That level was such a pain but eventually I got to where I could get every single one besides the last one each turn... If it helps, I used Mario and got it. I just grabbed the mushroom so I was big Mario at the time, then I just took a hit on the spikes and was somehow able to bounce off of them (while I was still flashing) to grab the coin up above... I think the correct way to do it is to get the star, but I couldn't get through the blocks quick enough. Apparently it didn't matter.

 

I only played 1 game today haha, I haven't really made any substantial progress.

 

I had a good run at Toad Rally today. I broke 2000, and I owe it all to Yoshi.

 

Yesssssssssss. I finally beat that stupid special course. I finally made it to Bowser a few times in a row and died every time before I actually got it! So infuriating.

It's a good feeling haha but now try those special courses you just unlocked.....

Haha I understand. The first two were kinda hard but the black tunnel will seem damn near impossible.

Also, I'm sure most people here realize this but Toadette is great for Toad Rally. For some reason I never see anyone else using her, but she will steal Toads from your opponent's final count. For instance, my opponent was at 322 but when it showed my final score, it brought him down to 317 and bumped me up to 318. Pretty neat.
