Sorry for my response. I just felt that one was kinda mean. Anyways, I'm part of the super small group that digs Ashes & Fire over everything else.

 

Wtf, how strange. Just found it. I'll check it out tomorrow and report back.

 

Didn't want to say anything until more had heard it, but it took me a little while to get used to the non-live versions of several songs. After a few listens though, I love it as a whole so much.

Ha! That's actually really interesting. His label must keep a close eye on that. I got a leaked copy of his last record and received one of those emails about having pirated music on my computer. Haven't downloaded anything since.

 

This basically sounds like an amalgam of Born in the USA and Tunnel of Love. I am perfectly okay with that description.

 

Yeah this gets better and better with each listen

 

Not defending Ryan's part in this, but the amp company that he took the design from is known to sell the "Big Riff," a blatant copy of the "Big Muff."

 

The title track and "Outbound Train" are my favorites after a few days with the album, but the other songs start to stand out on repeated listens, too. The whole thing is great. Not a clunker to be found.

Shiver And Shake is my favorite probably at the moment but it could change. Anything I Say To You sounds straight out of LIH

 

"Shiver and Shake" is hitting super close to home right now, unfortunately. Pretty much sums up the past month for me.

 

"To Be Without You" is a cool little song.

Halfway through and I dig it fine so far, but certainly isn't on the same level as his self-titled.

 

I must suck at using the internet. I can't find it anywhere.

 

This is the most bizarre leak I've ever seen. Somehow its been contained in hardcore Ryan Adams fan communities and hasn't spread widely

 

Yeah. That's interesting. I looked here but didn't see it. Still shy of of DL'ing his records since I got nailed the one time, haha! I'll just wait. Surprised it leaked so soon.

This album was supposed to come out 11/6 so I wouldn't feel bad about hearing it a little early...

 

I haven't yet listened, nor searched, for the leak....but the way y'all are discussing it makes it seem like it's an elaborate joke. Like I'm gonna search for it and find out it hasn't leaked and y'all are just screwing with people.

When are leaks ever this casual. I still kind of won't believe it until I see it, haha.

 

From what I'm reading in different threads and such, it seems pretty real but people are being pretty cautious about spreading it around. I've been super anxious to hear this record but finding it is proving to be difficult so far.

Just finished my first listen of the leak. I wasn't wild about "Do You Still Love Me," but thankfully the rest of the album is even better than that. I'm pretty surprised by how good it is, it's like a darker version of his self-titled. Can't wait to hear it in a better quality once it's released.
