My dog is getting surgery (albeit minor) tomorrow and man this got me.

 

They make the best music videos. Only band I get excited to watch their shit. Everyone else could care less.

Do you guys think they'll make any more music videos for this album?

I'm surprised to say this but this never grew on me in the way I was sure it would. It's good, and there are a couple of tunes I love, but this probably won't make my top 25 this year. That's more because of the amazing output from other artists than it is this record being bad, but still.

 

I saw these guys last weekend and for seriously, their lead guitarist is unreal.

 

I believe I read an interview that he went to university for a couple years for jazz guitar or something similar. Still remember when they opened for the Menz and he went into the solo for Guilt Trip and the crowd went wild, totally not expecting serious guitar chops from that bill lol

 

I don't get how this band can write such fun/sad songs at the same time. This album has been my jam over the weekend after forgetting about it for a little while.

 

I'm waiting for them tour with more Canadian bands,

 

Every Pup show is the most fun Pup show and I think that's really a pretty crazy testament. Album wormed it's way into my heart pretty quickly, and I really only see that looking back. Better than self titled in every way (minus reservoir) imo but it's close

 

I don't even think I've revisited the self titled album since this came out.

 

Damn, just watched the Sleep in the Heat video and even after seeing your replies first that got me choked up.

Also, how fucking cool is it that PUP seem to be best buds with one of the kids from Stranger Things?

 

I did every time I was gonna see them, it's still good, but the new one maximized all the parts that were already great on self titled. Reservoir is still one of their best songs

Still think the self-titled tops this, especially the back half, but this is still top 5 for me this year.

 

I adore these boys so very very much but I kinda selfishly wish they would go back to not playing *every* song a half step down live
