When things are on a spectrum, I get it: is this a brown ale or a brown porter? A robust porter or a stout? A tripel or a Belgian golden strong? A lot of those lines are blurred. But beers that have unique characteristics like Gose and Gueuze should not be confused for each other.

If you got a salty taste out of a gueuze, someone fucked up somewhere.

Picked up my No Rules, as well as the Perrin grapefruit IPA. Anyone else try it before?

Also, my store got in a bunch of beers from Boulevard Brewing. Any worth picking up?

Super jealous on the No Rules.

Tank 7 by Boulevard is probably the best widely available saison in the country.

Is Romantic Chemistry replacing Aprihop this year? I don't see it anywhere on the release schedule and it usually comes out around this time.

this large photo is taking a long time to load, haha. I had the same problem when I attached a photo earlier. Maybe that's worth a request at some point, re-sizing of uploaded photos

Has to pick it up for my love of chemistry.

Hmmm. I updated it with an imgur link instead. Maybe that'll help.

Let me know what you think of the Grapefruit IPA. I'm about 50 mins from Perrin but don't really like that beer. Feels too artificial to me (yet I like GF Sculpin, so go figure).

Yeah, it is. I liked Aprihop, but looking forward to trying Romantic Chemistry.

I thought Romantic Chemistry was pretty run of the mill -- still tasty -- given what it's built up to be.

Anyone else watch video reviews of beers or am I a big weirdo?

Got to be honest I have no desire to watch someone review a beer. I honestly don't care about beer reviews in general.

So Im pretty sure i did this right..

I started off yesterday afternoon with a Zywiec polish lager, then had a few Founders Abacca IPA, then went out to eat and got red wine (cab sauv) and a white (chard), finished off my gf's sangria, and then went to Stogies for a Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and a Nicaraguan cigar to top off the night.

This produced a wonderful headache in this morning. X-(

I've been on a huge Almanac Farm to Barrel kick lately. They just started getting distribution in the Midwest a few months ago. I have yet to drink one I didn't like.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I guess I enjoy figuring out how people taste and describe beer, so seeing someone review a beer I've had is informative to me.

So, I've had beer on cask a few times now, and every time I feel..... weird. I can't really get into the flat/lukewarm taste/feeling of it all
