    Harumph

I'm scared of being under leveled in jrpgs (bad ff7 experience), so I always end up grinding way too much.

Lost Odyssey is pretty great so far. Fun battle system, graphics hold up well enough, and the dream stories are interesting. The main story is pretty boiler plate so far, but I hear that gets better too.

Aside from the usual Ubisoft problems (weird menus, badly implemented micro transactions - I still love you, Ubisoft), Steep is a fucking awesome game.

I found the Steep beta rather boring.

If the idea of a somewhat realistic feeling snowboarding/skiing (the rest is fun but whatever) with a beautiful open world appeals to you, it is a great game for you. If not, I imagine it is boring as shit.

I thought it looked amazing, just didn't feel much fun while playing it. Didn't give it much of a chance though. Maybe a multiplayer with friends would interest me more.

Im really interested in this game but I honestly don't see how it could be fun. Don't you just ride around sorta like Skate and do missions? But on a snowboard you can't go up hills and stuff so wouldn't you just go down the hill then hAve to go back up?

I clearly know nothing about the game but I'm honestly rooting for it.

The open world is more about discovering drop points (points where you can spawn) and being able to just ride for a long time. You can also cover great distances, without loosing height, with the paraglider. The missions are more of a menu-based thing, although you can start one just by driving through a circle if it happens to be on your path. It's all very seamless. Once you started a mission and fuck up you can press Y and instantly respawn, old school Tony Hawk style.

Full disclosure: the Steep world map (which you also use to pick missions) is absolute garbage. It's so bad I almost can't believe it exists.

Yeah it's very hard so I put it down. I'm thinking about playing it again and just using a walk through so I can experience the game.

I want to go back and play some of the old point and click games I played as kid. Like toonstruck and Simon the Sorcerer.

So much for not buying anymore games from this year... Just got Dead Rising 4 at a stupidly low price since it was £44 at my local supermarket yesterday and today I got it for £30 so I how could I say no to that?
