I would consider this one situation where it's okay to be a little selfish haha it's never a bad thing to make sure you're prepared and mentally ready for that, and that's kind of how I view my free time at this point. The calm before the eventual storm, in a way.

Not that kids are always like a storm, but whatever.

 

I am the baby whisperer. There's something babies really like about me which is weird because I'm terrified of them for the most part.

 

My friend has a kid and he wants me to be his godfather instead of his actual godfather which is hilarious.

 

I've only ever met my godfather at funerals. Couldn't tell you what he looks like.

 

I can't say I've ever met mine.

 

Even if I know what someone looks like, if they say they're a godfather, I instantly see them as Al Pacino forever

 

Babies are usually uncomfortable around me because I'm usually uncomfortable around them (what do you mean you can't hold your own head up?!). Once they hit about 2, we cool, because I talk to them like adults. I'm also great at coloring.

 

Speaking of Godfathers, I've never seen any of the Godfather films

1 and 2 are pretty great, 1 is the only one I'd hold to a high status in my life but yeah it's a good series. Probably overrated but then again what isn't

 

I always sleep with a shirt on because i'm paranoid that somebody will murder/stab me in my sleep. And yes i'm aware that a shirt isn't going to do much, but that's how my brain works, okay!

Congrats! Our son just turned 6 months but I always going to visit family because everyone would always be like "So when are you gonna start having kids?" Truth is, 1) it was more difficult for us to have kids than most 2) all these family members had kids out of wedlock and aren't with the child's parent anymore, and to us that made us more motivated to do things the "right way" you know?

This is so true, we now have 3. The littlest/smallest is almost a year old and she's has been insane always trying to start shit with the adult cats and just typically being a giant pain in the ass.

I honestly have no idea what a Godfather is or does, my wife has godparents but i've never understood it. Then again I grew up Southern Baptist so that's likely why.

 

My godson is 5 and has resorted to calling me E-Money for some reason.

I don't like when babies can't hold their heads up. My friend wants me to meet hers and I think I annoyed her cause I was like uhhhh let's wait on that a few months. Im better at the toddler-preschool range. My nephew likes that I make playdoh with him and other fun messy experiments. It's how I've conned him into liking me.


I'd love a relationship where we sleep in separate beds. People move around too much and like fans on them and no blankets and I hate that. I like to sleep with a light source too which lots of people hate

I'm really hoping when I have kids, the mother doesn't want to do any of that Christening nonsense.

 

I danced for about 30 seconds alone in the elevator at work this morning before getting off at my floor, and it has made a shockingly big improvement in my mood.

I love kids but don't know if I could handle the unpredictability and the pressure of not raising them right , plus I would never discipline them

 

Sometime's it is the mother's mother you have you worry about wanting that nonsense, unfortunately. Lot of my friends who got married early did a lot of things certain ways exclusively cause they didn't want to upset the 'rents.

Mine don't do anything. He bought me a Harry Potter shirt at Universal studios once and that's it lol. Otherwise its just ~symbolic. He's my uncle and I think of him as just that. My godmother I never talk to and probably never will see her again in my life
