i dont mean to sharply turn things away from the current discussion but how many of you all believe in "love at first sight"?

 

Love ain't a feeling. So no.

Infatuation? Yes.

 

Wait.

 

I hope for a sense of initial sparks or butterflies because other wise I don't know how I'm gonna know someone's "the one"

 

it would be weird if I hung out with my 21 year old sister's friends right?

 

I will say from the first time I seen my fiancee there was a feeling of "omg i need to get to know this girl, shes perfect" and within 11 days of intial contact we were together... "I love you" & everything (Engagement and etc) came fast as well.
i dont know if it was love at first sight perhaps, but there was definitely like..... a nudge to my heart and soul at the moment of seeing her "Make sure you check this one out, she's different."

 

at least we can all agree this song is great

I feel like chemistry and love at first sight and sparks are all a lie!! for real tho I've never really felt that with anyone and when people say those things I feel like it's a conspiracy to trick me into thinking lovely rom com type things exist

 

I dated one of my sisters friends once

She cheated on me and claimed she did it because she saw an episode of Mad Men

I don't recommend dating your sisters friends

 

I've also never felt it but I've just assumed it was my brain being broken

I've had sex with two of my sister's friends and will not rest until I have had sex with all of them.

(JK, about that last part but I do think it would be pretty funny if I kept on having sex with my sister's friends)

EDIT: Also, Mad Men is the best show I have ever seen. Hands down.

My sister got married recently and I had to see my ex at the wedding and every interaction was so hilarious to me

 

Yeah it's weird. I think I've tried to convince myself before that I felt those things but I never really did. I feel like there is a term prob frequently used on tumblr about this but idk haha. I never really had crushes. there were a few times where I was like "hey they're cute" and I noticed and kinda shrugged lol but never like what taylor swift and carly rae sing about!

 

I know! I've never been inspired to write a poem about somebody or write their name over and over again in my journal with a heart around their name! Like you said I just find people attractive but nothing beyond that

 

I've only had feelings for only a few people.

 

I didn't fall in love with my girlfriend the first time I saw her 8 years ago. But the first time I had a real actual conversation with her I knew there was something really special about her and she was going to be important to me.

That's love at first sight to me.

 

When I met my most recent ex I didn't realize I wanted her romantically but I knew for a fact that I wanted her in my life to some degree. Then she became the first person I ever met who I wanted to spend my life with. Definitely wasn't love but there was a very strong desire for her that I hadn't quite felt before.
