So this is the first part of a three parter about Doom and it's well done. Highlight of this is footage from the cancelled Doom title they were working on prior, basically it was the Call of Doom joke that was going around. At least the glory kill system came out of that.

 

looking forward to the fact the next video is a deep dive on the first level.

ive been thinking of picking up doom. havent played a nice gorey shooter in a while

 

Activision is so bad.

And I don't know if I just don't like FPS games anymore or what, but I didn't like Doom as much as most people did. I don't think it's a bad game at all, I just don't think the genre does much for me anymore.

 

It's fantastic... best FPS campaign I've played in years? Maybe since MW1

 

It's great, couldn't recommend it enough. It's everything you've wanted out a Doom game but amplified to 11. Plus, the soundtrack is great too.

 

Fucking up man. Best FPS of the year.

 

Doom is most definitely the best single player fps campaign in years. Also it's made even better when you turn on centered weapons.

This was great, speaking of Doom. Wild to think it was one guy who did the whole thing.

 

Doom is one of those games I've sat down to watch people play, and enjoyed the hell out of it. Have nothing bad to say about it, and couldn't recommend it more, despite it being something I'd never play myself.

 

Watching people play Doom is as much fun as playing it, you can really appreciate more of the little nuances in the enemy animations and all the little touches you miss.

 

I could also watch my friends play Overwatch for hours

 

I do that too, damn you pretty games and your effects that keep watching you!

Lol of course they would. To be blunt, I'm not sure how Activision escaped the gaming world's ire considering all the awful things they've done in the past decade. They've nickled and dimed so many damn people over the years and people still want to get made at EA and call them the worst? Okay...

 

Within 2 years, hopefully.

 

It's most definitely going to be happening :(

 

I'm not sure what my GOTY is, there's been so many damn good games this year. If I had to choose, it'll be between Overwatch, Battlefield 1, Doom, or Final Fantasy XV.

 

Going to try to play Doom next week. Hopefully I am not bored this time and get past mission 2.
