I've been trying her out lately and she's fun. I usually cycle between solider, junkrat, and zenyatta

I compared WD 2 to GTA V because GTA V does everything WD 2 does only ten times better (not including hacking). WD 2 is so much more lighthearted than the original, and with all the parodies of real life corporations, it just feels like they borrowed more heavily from GTA V this time around.

I'd try her out, ha. I haven't played Overwatch since she's been released but I assume that game would be able to make hacking fun.

gta and watch dogs are trying to achieve different things. besides being third person open world action games, they don't have the same concept, purpose, or narrative. watch dogs 2 is def more lighthearted than the first, but i'm not sure that's necessarily a bad thing. it has made for a more enjoyable and consistent gameplay experience than wd1. its commentary on social issues and politics are pretty well done FWIW, it's just done through mimicking real life situations, some of which are very recent. for that alone i appreciate it more than GTA, and as for characters it has a better line up as well. i tend to take them more seriously. i get GTA is supposed to be satire and exaggeration, but there's a lot to unpack where that's concerned.

gta has the better soundtrack but like hudmo also did a great album for watch dogs 2.

This is the real topic tbh.

WD 2 and GTA V both have near identical gameplay mechanics, all of which GTA V does better. Narratively they're fairly different, but in terms of the core gameplay, GTA V is far and away the better made game.

It's a lot more than "fairly different" honestly. And sure GTA's mechanics definitely do feel a lot better, but that's where it begins and ends for me. If WD's mechanics were awful, it would be "far and away", but I don't think it's as drastically different as you're making it sound. I have played GTA V from start to finish so I feel confident enough to comment on this haha. And I personally didn't enjoy GTA online, but I enjoy the online portion of WD2 - co op missions, hacking invasion, etc.

Honestly depends on the kinds of games you want to play. What do you enjoy?

basically this. On exclusives alone, PS4 was the easiest choice for me (helped that it was $100 less at launch...)

Yeah it all really comes down to online experience and exclusives.

I decided on a Xbox One because I was really eh on PS4 exclusives but a lot of my family was more into Xbox One.

I do have a lot of friends who have PS4 so it's a bummer I can't play with them but I got over it quick.

If you like JRPGs (or related games) and Sony exclusives, get a PS4, if you like Microsoft exclusives, get a Xbox One. I personally think Microsoft makes better games than Sony, but I also like JRPGs, so I have an Xbox and play JRPGs on handhelds (until I make enough money to buy all the damn machines).

I occasionally stream myself playing ranked Xbox one smite or ranked Overwatch but I don't actually talk so it's a pretty pointless stream.
