Ugh PS Now is horrendously bad.

Well Final Fantasy 15 was going to be my second favourite game of the year but now it can go fuck itself for a) trapping me in a death loop b) not giving any info on how high a level you need to be in the final chapter and c) expecting me to take on two of the hardest bosses in the game one after the other without a chance to restock so I now have a mere two potions to heal with.

Telltale's Batman is a) very good b) horrifically buggy

If this is their updated engine, they should honestly be ashamed. How little do you have to give a shit to let this continue in EVERY game you produce?

I blame John Riccitiello, the last EA CEO who was awful. He's a part of Telltale now haha.

As a huge fan of the first game, Dead Rising 4 is everything I wanted it to be. It's ridiculously fun.

Seriously? What did you like about it?

There are parts that I enjoyed. I thought they did a good job with the inclusion of the TV show and the graphics were good. But overall gameplay was generic and after completing it I've had no reason to go back and play it. I played this BEFORE Uncharted 4 and Tomb Raider. Both third person shooters and both are leaps and bounds better in every category to Quantum Break.

I thought the story was fine and i absolutely loved chaining the powers together in different ways. the guns were kind of meh but thats really my only complaint.

Stardew Valley for £11.99 on PS4? Yay or nay?

Never played Harvest Moon or anything really like it, but love Animal Crossing and the like. What're peoples thoughts on the game?

TellTale's CEO and one of the founders. Also, the creator of their engine who apparently cuddles up with it every night and is VERY protective of it, hence why their games still run like shit.

I mean it wasn't terrible, but the whole experience wasn't very satisfying. I feel like they could have done a much better job with the whole time travel premise. Most of the powers had nothing to do with time travel. Time shield! I'm glad some people enjoyed it, but for me it's easily on my most disappointed list.

    Definite yay.

I had never played Harvest Moon either, or anything like Animal Crossing. Currently have 70+ hours on PC. Such a good game, lots to do and really well made. Definitely worth £12.

I bought it during the PSN sale a couple weeks back and it's all I've been playing. Love it and I've still only played up to Sapienza.

FF8 did that (back to back bosses) to young me and I rage quit it and never picked it back up or loozed back. Grew up a little that day. Started taking less shit from people.

  19. Is this your first Final Fantasy game? That sounds very typical of FF games. I got stuck on my first playthrough of FFVIII (my first FF), so I restarted from the beginning and did a lot of grinding in the open world whenever I got the chance so that by the time I got to the same point I got stuck, I was at a much higher level and had upgraded weapons/etc. The game isn't going to just tell you that you need to grind and level up and farm enemies and upgrade all your weapons. And by the way, why are you using potions at all? Is there not a healer character in FFXV?

(I was defending Bioware while at the same time expressing my frustration with the gameplay for The Witcher 1.)

    I, uh, haven't played KOTOR...

I was loving the game up until it came to the second boss and the realisation set in that I was unable to finish the game and what annoys me even more is the game explicitly states it is for first timers as well as returnees yet it communicated nothing in regards to the level I needed to be like other games have.

Yes it is my first and figured that it would tell me that I wasn't a high enough level since other games that have levelling systems have done. No healer character than I am aware of, they can rescue you but only in the first boss battle. I was so happy when I beat the first boss since it was second attempt and then to be shit on right after just pissed me off. I'm not going through a whole game again just to get to an ending.

This isn't a turn based rpg. There is no dedicated healer. It doesn't feel like a traditional FF game. Potions, elixirs, and the like are essential in this game unfortunately.

seen some videos where it looks pretty terrible but i haven't played myself. the controls are apparently super unintuitive as well.

Controls/camera seem comparable to previous Ueda games from what I've seen and heard (haven't played TLG yet though), which means they're not great but they're in no way unmanageable.

I'm getting close to the end of SotC now, just a few left, and I couldn't be more excited to play TLG when my copy gets here on Wednesday.
