Sooooooo I like the full band version of Tach more than the album version. Wondering what this whole record would have sounded like with a full band now...damn you Pandora's box!

Someone on reddit was saying there is a full band version of the album that's being released. Thats where that comes from.

 

Hopefully that person knows what they're talking about ha.

I prefer the original but full band isn't bad. I adore this album mostly because of how stripped back it is.

 

The full band versions make me think I might actually enjoy a new bright eyes album

Maybe releasing these tracks digitally is a test to see if it's worth releasing a full band edition of Ruminations?

If so, everyone should stream these tracks 10x and hour indefinitely. It's the only way we'll know.

 

I am kind of in a weird place with this album in that I recognize that the original version he released is a great piece of work and a pretty stunning artistic achievement, but I find myself not coming back to it at all. I just don't find myself wanting to listen to it, whereas I have had the full band version of Tachycardia on repeat almost nonstop since I got it.

 

first listen of this (second counting the set i saw) and it's been so long since i connected to any sort of music like this
