The GCN did quite badly, putting to death the myth that you need the same third party games as other consoles to sell a lot of units (a lot of people still didn't get the memo though). However, it was a great console (so great that the 360 is based on it in many ways) with great software. Several of my favorite games are on the GCN.

 

The more I see of the Switch the more stoked I am for it. Dark Souls Trilogy? If that is real please take all of my money. Also, GCN Classics...GIVE ME SKIES OF ARCADIA

 

gcn is easily my favorite home console. really hoping the re games get released for the vc early on, always been my dream to play the re remake on the go.

Seasons of Heaven is a Nintendo Switch exclusive game just heard about this, looks and sounds excellent

 

That looks like such a good mobile game.

 

The commercial makes it look like a running app.

Just got internet recently and finally remembered to get the MK8 DLC. I have ten bucks left, what do I do?

Never got to play DK64 so I was thinking that? Considered original Paper Mario but feel like that might be fifty hours worth of text blocks.

I've always wanted to play older Sonic games so that's also in consideration

 

Are the sales still up? Mario Galaxy 2 was 10 bucks some time ago

 

The Sonic games haven't aged well at all, in my opinion.

Paper Mario is still great! Downloaded it recently and have had a blast with it.

 

Dude Paper Mario is a fantastic game, get it ASAP

 

Been playing Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon a ton the past few days on my 3ds. really hoping for a 3rd Luigi's Mansion on the Switch.

 

P sure the 3DS is my favorite system of all time. It's comprised over half of my GOTY list since released. I don't know why, but handheld gaming has always trumped console gaming for me.

 

Have any of you played the Bravely Default games? They look good enough to warrant buying a 3DS

 

I really liked the first one, despite it getting a bit repetitive. I really like the second one so far as well although I haven't played too much of it yet.

If you like those kinds of games though I feel like you would definitely benefit from getting a 3ds lol

 

Another big selling point is the virtual network. I'd love to be able to play the classics, like Majora's Mask. I have never played a second of Majora's Mask, and this is unacceptable to one of my 3DS-owning friends.

I've never played Majora's Mask, picked up OoT so when i finish that i'll probably pick up MM.

 

I can't imagine going back to playing the original versions of OoT or MM. The 3DS versions are so gorgeous. Really vibrant, fantastic 3D, and the touch screen inventory control make them the definitive versions regardless of some of the less adored changes that were made.

 

I think OoT took me like a year to finish when I first played it in '98. Being eight years old though, it was harder to figure everything out, and it was all pure trial and error. No guides, walkthroughs, anything. Such a good memory.

Luckily my friend is letting me borrow his 3DS and MM for when I stand in line in the freezing cold all day Thursday to see Rogue One

 

Looks like GameStop has some of the Classic bundles up on their site. I grabbed the $125 one for my brother in law (comes with some canvases and an extender for the remote. Then she texts me she's waiting for the non-bundles... and now I'm down $125

 

$125 is such a ripoff. Even GameStop is scalping these things.
