I JUST WANT MADDEN

 

Alright we have all said our piece, he just wanted to offer it to anyone who wanted to try it out. We aren't trying to make everyone make our league priority #1. Apologies if it came off that way.

That being said, the league isn't shit. We had a group of nine active members before the merger idea, and we knocked out a regular season in about two and a half weeks. It moves smoothly and efficiently

Except that we have no problems with guys not playing, and it has taken you over a month to knock out your season for that reason. Your advances vary too, where as ours are a strict 48 or earlier, only exception is if there is a game that is started half an hour before the deadline. Probably doesn't help that you refer to your own league as dog shit, I'm sure that attracts a lot of new people to the league. Carry on leading in that fashion and the AP league will die

 

We will be fine you just go back to your league of 9. we will keep our 9 and be done with it

 

Bragging about a 9-man Madden league is like bragging about a 6-man fantasy football league. It's a joke.

 

I'm not bragging at all. All I said is that it runs in a timely and effective manner. Which is true, no matter how many insults you throw at it man. Keep blaming what is happening on everything but your actions as the commissioner, it makes no difference to me. You made no attempt to improve it or move it forward. All you did was complain that there was no more daddyleagues. You have a core group of guys who are staying despite all of that, and I hope it continues and returns to its former strength

 

I just don't understand your mentality, why are you so hostile towards any change? It just doesn't make sense. Like I can understand you being a commish, you need to be a hard ass but it's just to the point where it's hurting the league. We could combine leagues and literally slap "AP Madden" anywhere to keep it alive, I'm trying to find why you're being so negative towards it, it's literally so everyone can have madden in a bigger group.

And joining a league for our 9 guys that is in season 3 or 4 is random, we're doing a clean slate, pure restart to week 1 with active rosters. What's so bad about this?

Call me a pussy all you want, at least I'm man enough to set aside any differences and just look at the bigger picture of just having more people to have fun in madden with. You can continue to be a pessimist, or an overwhelming optimist, but I don't get why you're extracting yourself from change.

I came in here today in hopes we could all join a league together, not have a squabble about who's a 'pussy' over the internet

 

It's when James, Kevin, Dome, Slyck and TSL like the idea that you should really start thinking about if you're helping keep this season alive, or burying it. So be it, though.

 

Seems fairly ridiculous. Could have a league start fresh with 15-18 people potentially starting with a clean slate and all dedicated

 

If you want to start the season over, slap AP Madden on it and have 18 guys, with similar rules to here, I have no problem with it.

What I do have a problem with, is that league's setup. I've been in groupme leagues. All kinds of shit going on in PMs. Then one day some asshole slaps Aaron Rodgers for a 2nd. Not to mention, owner mode and all that shit is unnecessary. And if you are doing a full season in 2.5 weeks, that's not close to being sustainable with 18 guys.

These are guys that wouldn't join our league or consider joining forces early because they had to play with "their" teams. They don't want to restart the league, they want to have guys join when the playoffs start (why would you even do that? Why not just join now? Besides the point). Something tells me they have no desire to do that.

And we really aren't having a squabble over the internet of who is the bigger pussy. You pretty much established that on your own when you stated you quit because of the "trash" talking. We talked shit about Cleveland for like 2 days ha. Hell.

 

I understand your concern, you have pointed out the shit part of group me, but it's very convenient if we have it set up the correct way.

So how about this, we call it AP Madden, we all join it fresh (the other guys are 100 percent down to reset, it's already been done at this point.)

So it's week 1 of the preseason, same FA rules (and same rules pretty much, I would imagine) with current active rosters to mix it up.

We have 1 trade group me, purely trade, 1 announcement to announce game times, advances, Etc

And 1 bullshit chat to fuck around in.

I'm cool with all of this if you are, I'm just trying to play madden.

And I like the trash talking, it just got to a point where whenever I would post I would get shat on lol

 

The advances were so quick because those guys in the league are eager to play, CPU or actually the fair amount of user games we had, it'd be scheduled and played quick as hell. Obviously it will slow down with 18 people, that's fine with me.

We can track trades and make sure if all goes through the chat. Groupme is weird, but it's just more user friendly to the people who haven't used forums and stuff, I suppose.

And having the announcement chat and getting PMed as notifications to your phone is great, scheduling is just easier because you know when your opponent is trying to get in contact

 

You got shat on by me because you said the Raiders were bad. As a card carrying citizen of the Raider Nation, I could not sit idly by.

 

GroupMe is much easier to use.

 

I feel obliged to take that back, as the raiders are having an insane season, Carr for MVP, I wanted him for the Browns back in the first.

So I apologize, my 0-12 Browns have nothing on you Hahahaha, I've been humbled by that comparison

 

I want AP to carry on, this isn't an attempt to kill it by any means, it's just a new save and GroupMe. Same guys, same rules, same rivalries, the only thing that changes is the communication part and it's a fresh save with Dak Prescott as a 89 overall instead of 71

 

The problem with GroupMe is not scheduling. I agree it's more convinent in that way. It's trades. It's a bad idea. With any significant number of users it's impossible to track. To go back and find trades and look at em without using DMs. Nothing I hate more than backdoor trading because everyone's a true scumbag by nature.

 

You were humbled when you claimed to have the best baseball team and scurried out of here by the time you're realized it was actually the 2nd best.

 

Wow, today escalated quickly. I am fine with staying here or going to a new league. I'm just here to play.

 

Who will be commish then in this new shit?

 

I'm not sure, I'm just looking to play with a group of people. Could just make it co lead Z and ATL or whatever would be best for everyone
