Only ones I don't really care about are the first two. Everything from White Pony through KNY is golden. Gore is okay but I don't like the production all that much, and I only really dig "Phantom Bride"

 

This is almost the same as my ranking. I just recently put White Pony ahead of Gore after revisiting both recently. Still, those two, Diamond Eyes, and SNW are all really great albums to me.

White Pony is my favourite album of all time and very much deserves its reputation within rock music as a masterpiece.

White Pony > Around The Fur > Deftones > Adrenaline/Gore > Diamond Eyes > Koi No Yokan > Saturday Night Wrist

 

White Pony will forever be their #1 for me.

I don't think it's humanly possible to dislike this song. Beautiful.

 

Run Wild was remarkable, and represents Leighton's ability to conform to a radio friendly format. It is also a great fusion between Lydia and The Cinema.

 

I really love a handful of Deftones songs but for the most part they don't do much for me. I want to like them more than I do.

 

PIG was redundant.

I am sure there is a Meg Myers forum on the internet somewhere, in finding it you may relish the opportunity to associate with people whom share your musical taste, as opposed to be an asterisk in an otherwise engaging conversation about artistic expression that extends beyond your favorite artist, Meg Myers.

Late to the party on this discussion but weighing in as someone with Jewish heritage but practices no religion, yet I celebrate Christmas anyway barring the religious beliefs - IE, I don't celebrate Baby Jesus (tm) or anything but I do celebrate the seasonal atmosphere, how pretty everything is decked out with lights and such, the joy of giving as well as getting (because come on folks let's call a spade a spade and acknowledge that getting things feels nice - otherwise nobody would be getting or giving anything if it didn't elicit positive responses), and the overall happy "cozy" feeling the holiday season gives me. I'm never quite sure where I stand on the Jewish "spectrum" though - since I do not practice the religion but I certainly get my fair share of anti-Semitism for my appearance as well as my surname. I dunno, it's a strange situation I'm still trying to figure out.

At any rate, unpopular opinion that might come off as a bit hot-take-y - even as a big metal fan, I really do not like Slayer and think they are not that great at all. I get their influence and importance but I don't care for them.

Also, their fans make me want to break things.

 

Is there a general "unpopular opinions" thread in General? This Christmas talk would fit better there. Plus it'd be fun. Someone make it. Stop reading this post and go make it.
