Was kind of confused at the end. Is that The Kingdom that was showing up at Alexandria...while Negan is already there. I can't imagine Negan will be happy to see that.

Wonder why there have been so many extended episodes already this season. I keep hoping maybe we will get a little sneak peek into Negan's backstory and how he came to be.

So Jesus snuck into Negan's factory/fortress/warehouse (I'm assuming to save Carl), but turns out he was leaving on the truck in which he used to slip into the compound?

I thought for a moment that they were actually going to spare us seeing Negan iron Mark's face. Then to see his skin just peel off with it. Eee.

Last night redeemed itself for many of the bad episodes so far in Season 7. I enjoyed it.

I still though, for the life of me, just don't get why no one has killed Negan already. Kind of laughable that Carl risks his life to get on the back of that truck, gets to Negan's place, kills 2 guys, then has the opportunity to take Negan out and just doesn't do it? I'd imagine this has happened to Negan several other times too (we've seen it several times this season, Rick holding Negan's bat in Alexandria). It's clear everyone at his camp is scared shitless of Negan, so if someone takes him out, most of them would probably be thrilled.

Carl not shooting him is the only time I really question, I don't get a sense that in the Saviors encounters with Rick's group they've given off any other vibe other than being totally unified. At this point I think the only person who can see that his people are scared shitless of him is Carl. Everyone in Alexandria probably thinks they'll all be dead if they touch Negan.

That scene was so frustrating. All I want is Negan. HE KILLED MY FRIENDS. No one else has to die. Oh, there's Negan, the guy I came for. I mean what was your plan there Carl. He was never going to get a better opportunity than that.

Seriously. What were the writers thinking?

The only thing I can think of is that he wanted Negan to come forward and get on his knees for him or something rather than quickly just popping him before he knew what was happening

I guess I could somewhat buy the theory that Rick has no reason to believe Negan's people are scared shitless of him, but still, Rick is a guy who just last season broke into an outpost and stabbed everyone in the head while they were sleeping and now I'm supposed to believe he's not going to kill a guy who just killed two of his people when he's got a bat and Negan has no one around him? Just ridiculous to believe that Rick knows this is a 'kill or be killed' kind of world and had a chance to get rid of him and his problems and now all of a sudden we're supposed to believe he's scared to death? Doesn't make much sense or tie into the evolution of his character development.

Carl was a mess this episode. He didn't care about dying the day Negan had them all on their knees. He didn't care about losing a hand. He was a badass. BUT in this episode he was a whimp, and Negan had to state so. "what are you going to do to me, dont make me take off my bandage, don't swing your love bat while I sing, all of this now terrifies me when before I was a true badass and nothing, not even killing my mom scared me. My dad has to beg me to stand down, beg me. But now, now I'm startled. Everything is startling me"

This episode didn't do much for me. Carl remains my least favorite part of the show, and last night his acting was the least believable I can recall personally. Also, I would think JDM would add more dimension to the character, but he delivers every line the exact same way, does that back lean every other scene, and says "damn" more than Rick says coral.

Yeah Negan's schtick is getting kinda old/one-dimensional; hopefully when he finally runs into trouble we can see another side of him.

true, other than the wives situation he isn't doing anything completely wrong. Sure he runs his town with an iron--iron. But other than that he doesn't kill needlessly so what exactly is he doing that's so wrong? He makes weaker towns give him things...could be worse.

He doesn't just take their things though, he threatens and uses fear to literally absorb everything to make his own living situation better, and kills to make a point. On top of that, he's damn near schizophrenic.

Negan is a 100% pure asshole. Every single thing about his whole setup is to enrich his own life, nothing to do with 'rebuilding civilisation' crap. His backstory I bet will be mediocre and uneventful, and now his old life has ended he is just manipulating the situation to give himself everything where he had nothing before!

If you were to watch the Tara episode, I don't know how you'd make it through two hour and a half episodes after that. Or maybe binging would improve everything haha.
