I've been thinking about moving to salem. closer to pdx than I am now and affordable enough for me

 

probably going to move into the Oregon probably around Medford in a few years or just stay in Fresno forever.

 

I'm moving to Philly for my girlfriend

 

Medford is nice. Stayed there and Ashland for about a month a couple years ago. Really nice small mountain towns if that's something you like. Too small and remote for me personally.

 

I'm moving to Plano/Richardson sometime soon it'll be a far 20 minute move

 

oh my grandma and uncle also live there so I'm pretty familiar with the area.

 

Just moved to Charlotte a couple days ago. We'll see how it goes. A little sketched out at the moment actually haha. The Air BnB I'm staying at is currently locked. We don't have the deadbolt key, didn't lock it when we left, and the owners say they weren't in town all day.

 

I've moved four times in my life and they were all within ten miles of each other. The last move was literally two miles

 

Yeah I've only had 1 really big move and it was still in Texas haha, 3 hours away to move in with the ex and kids, I definitely understand

 

Salem is nice, about an hour to Portland AND Eugene since we're right in the middle. If you have any questions let me know, been within 15 minutes of this city since I was 6.

 

Thanks! I've lived in Oregon for most of my life so I'm fairly familiar with it, but I have been searching for where I wanna live cause I hate the eastern side. I wanna be closer to pdx and the coast and salem seems like a nice compromise. my sis lives in Gervais and we went through Salem recently and i decided to look up jobs/apartments and prospects look good! idk we'll see!

Well good luck! I'd recommend looking for something in South Salem, it's a fairly self contained area whereas if you live in downtown or north you'll have to travel a lot to find what you need. Avoid West Salem, that's the "rich" side of town so everything is more expensive (I'm talking like 40 cents a gallon for gas more) and there's only one way in or out and it's across a bridge so traffic gets horrendous.
